Go to mmo-champion and read the 2 page long list of wow changes i get tomorrow. See all that? That was free. All jobs changing, a new raid (basically WoW's answer to dynamis, albeit with bosses, if you're not familiar with WoW), new recipe for every tradeskill in the game, and more free events/rare items/stuff.

SE made people pay for a few quests and some competing over mobs with low drop rates.

Please, bend over harder. Seriously. SE can't see all the way up your poopchute.

I apologize for bringing up the WoW vs. FFXI arguement, but that's where alot of people complaining are coming from. As a consumer (which the playerbase is), you have a certain expectation of what you get for your money. SE is continually making new ways to aggrivate their playerbase and release lackluster things that can barely be called content.

Look at the megaton of stuff WoW is giving its playerbase for free tomorrow. That's like 2 full expansions for FFXI. You people deserve more than this. You SHOULD be pissed you're getting fleeced.

I think SE is trying something new. They want to continue to develop stuff for FFXI in a cost effective manner. 9.99 is more than enough for this expansion. It costs 7 dollars to go to the movies and that's 90 minutes.

This expansion entertained you for hours. SE shoulda charged double. It was wonderful. I hope the future expansions are slightly more expensive so Neo's threads will become even more ridiculous.

The 4 month wait between the updates was lame :/ (and few lolnerfs) but exponentially lamer? hmm.. I still think this update beat many of those we got in the RoTZ-CoP era .

I can agree with the wait being lame. However, the updates have been improving by far since the Dark era of FFXI lol. Don't expect some epic game changing to come out each and every update >_>. Although, most of the updates we've been being given over the last year has changed quiet a bit in the game.

I got my surcoat ages ago, but my friend that got it recently was very disapointed.

Two things.

1) I love it when people say "That's all there is to this" as if they have laid down their opinion and everyone will step back and say "Ohhhhh, that is what I have been missing all this time!". Thank you sir! We would be lost without you!

2) If you or your friend is going to be butt hurt over the fact that gear gets obsoleted over time then you really, really need to get out of the MMO game.

Uh I haven't exactly pored over the update notes but I was under the impression all they did was add take the fix to Divine Veil people have been asking for since CoP and the reason to prefer WHM healing over other sources people have asked for since the dawn of time, made them unnecessarily complicated, and set them on opposing JA timers.

Yes, it's nice. But all they needed to do was make Divine Veil a very short-recast JA, and add the Stoneskin thing (which I'll admit was pretty clever, compared to my idea, which was to nerf everyone else). And, optionally, fire whoever designed the Yagrush. The approximation of content isn't content.

This update is setting up the northlands for the quest story line, and if you notice it's back and forth between missions and quests. This was the quests turn and I would hope that they would release the northlands on one of the missions updates.

Elegy lasted too fucking long imo so not even going to discuss that.

I'm also glad they nerfed campaign because the fortifications so people will move to another zone instead of staying at the same one till the next wave comes.

Nerfed MMM? They didn't nerf it they just fixed an exploit people were using. They buffed MMM by giving more runes and vouchers if anything.

WHM update was godley and they game is balanced as is. I'm sorry your job can't become over powered with bull shit like you want.

I believe last update people were bitching we didn't get enough of a preview and now you bitch they give too much. Fucking deal with it.

I should add that SSR boost is amazing, and if that was all they updated I would say it's worth it for all the time spent in that hell hole of a zone.
