2) If you or your friend is going to be butt hurt over the fact that gear gets obsoleted over time then you really, really need to get out of the MMO game.

SO is OK for you to give a better body piece to a player for 10 dollars rather than for earning it in the game ?.
Is the point i was making, dont care if equipment gets obsoleted.
As for the update as someone said before ANNM is rly good.
But that is not a part of the expansion.

If you're bitching about BLMs and SCH not getting 30k an hour in solo/manaburn pts, it will never happen. Honestly, I believe that a well put together PT composing of melee, a nuker, brd, healer SCing + MBing could get 30k+ like any other pt, but people are too lazy to bother. The ability to do these things exists it just needs to be used.

Please elaborate on this mythical 30k/hr standard PT setup and the camps. 12 jobs not cared for in merits would like to know.

BLM only started QQing since SCH came out. I never said they didn't need an update as well. What I said is they do not need anything major added. Something to help manage MP better is not major, but if that's how you wanna look at it w/e. I said this 2 times now, w/e it is SHOULD NOT BREAK THE BALANCE.

blm did not start bitching when sch came out. they where doing it from before they nurfed magic on all end game mobs.

then we got our AMII (we was happy till we saw how much dmg/mp it was and that its not that great and did not fix anything we needed, so we bitched)
then sch got t4's and that was the final thing that happened. blm fucking lost it because we lost just about everything

thats a LOT of sutff to bitch about over the years to gain a few spells that are not mp/dmg worth using solo, and for a lot events now you dont SC/MB so you dont gain shit from adding more then 1 merit to them 99.9% the time

think its pup/whm (in mage gear to back up heal and dd a little), smn/sch (main dd), pld/war (tank), nin (with GK), blu/whm(main heal), drk/nin (with dual axe)

And the idea that anyone "bought" the new body pieces is utterly ridiculous. Were you complaining that people "bought" their Rajas Rings? What about Suppanomimi? The people that got the body finished the storyline and got their reward. You may not have liked the storyline or the effort it took, but the situation is no different than any other expansion and it's rewards.

your numbers are far far from even coming close to being true.
old PTs that had great geared people cant pull anywhere close to 30k/hr
if you have the best playes you can get maybe 20k/hr

my best none tp burn pt was on trolls by cerb, the avg was 18k/hr me on blm. very good gear AMII (burst II 3 merits), S ring, ugly, snow, demon+1, obis, HQ legs, the fucking works. along with a aegis pld, a whm, 2x sam (hagun sams) and a bard.

thats not a bad set up for the old days. take away the aegis even if you like dont change much because we did not rest much.

so we had a very very very good set up and still could not break 20k/hr. throw a 3rd dd in there and your getting close and closer to TP burn.

Let's have a little challenge, maybe it'll shut them up for good. Parse a meleeburn merit pt, and parse an oldschool style setup merit pt. Let's say.. trolls, maybe? Do it with well equipped players - maybe even moreso the oldschool setup to even try to give them an advantage.

Tank, 2 melee, BRD or COR or RDM, RDM or WHM/SCH or SCH in Light Arts, and BLM or SCH in Dark Arts (or dare I even put SMN here!). Use skill chains and MBs, preferably have SCs go off before mob is at 50% hp so the nukes will have time to land. Pull mobs at fastest pace comfortable for the party.

I was aiming more 2DD BLM RDM Cor Brd and would need to be lvl 3 SCing. I know any old school PT with a tank+ BLM wouldn't get anywhere near the 30k TP burn

i helped a friend do RoZ to sky in 2 days. then about a week later he did AA. so what now? lol

CoP yes is much longer but if you pushed its a week of work.

the start city= 1-2 days of work each

WoTG= 45min of work >.>
ToAU = 5 days of work(4 days being them day waits SE throws in)

edit: ToAU i soloed the khim fight, trioed the nin fight. hell i found the last fight harder in this then all of ToAU fights.

Actually, Ashi I did this. I don't remember if I parsed it, but we did NIN/WAR, SAM/THF, SAM/WTHF, BLM, BLM, RDM. It's definitely not up to a full melee burn on Colibri but on trolls the xp is very good. I posted it on my blog a couple of years ago.

Wooo, I felt this should be quoted again because this is fact.

And honestly, to people that want to bring BLM back to exp PTs, I think it will never happen, and I don't really care, for the same reason I would never invite a PLD or THF or PUP or DNC or SCH and other jobs that sucks big time for exping (note exping, same goes for merit also, but talking leveling parties here atm), and yea SOME THFs can do well, but only SOME, and it is not worth inviting any of these jobs when you can get others doing it way better and playing the safe card.
If these jobs, including BLM, gets some stuff making them more valuble to exp PTs sure, that's great.

In my opinon, it's not about the old BLM can't get exp invites, more about they need an update to fit today's game environment much better, without getting overpowered.
