That was a unique and subtle way of saying "afk banging hot chicks."

I find it funny that Neo has managed to shift the issue from the fact that he was really all QQ about about the security token and not the expansion.
Now he has just shifted his anger to the expansion so he can bandwagon on the massive disappointment from that and get everyone to forget about his shit-fit about the security token.
BTW Neo, the security token is still a good idea.
I'd be more happy if I could skip the silly tower climb/quests and just pay SE 10$ for the customizable body. It's the main reason I bought the add-on, not for the story line.
Well I'm not back on the game yet, but I did buy the expansion before I went on break. I think it's worth the $10.00 to me because it gives you something more to do with your friends and I look forward to seeing the cut scenes and stuuf. There are also 3. Body armors people can get at the end and from what I know, those bodies are great for a variety of jobs.
This add on is just a filler, not worth the 10$ and I won't order the other two add ons until I know that the mission design is better compared to this crap we got (competing for lvl 25 mobs with 100 other ppl etc). Really dissapointing imo.
Also I find it funny that ringthree is all QQ in every goddamn post about Neo having a different oppinion than him, yay for ignore list I guess <3
I think that the main problem I had with this was that it had about as much actual content as the first CoP mission.
Item collection (animas/seeds)? Check
Level 30 climb (promyvion/delkfutt's)? Check
2-3 sort-of difficult fights? Check
The Tenshodo Chest is great and daily farming for random rewards is ok...but that's not what we paid the $10 for.
Many of us were expecting a seriously long series of quests/cut scenes/fights...or at least cut scenes. What we got was about as long as a single AF quest. So, really I can't recommend the scenario to anyone who isn't doing it explicitly for the quest reward...and if I'm doing that, then it's just telling people "spend $10 if you want a new body armour".
I'm as big of an SE apologist as you'll find, in general, but ACP left a rather sour taste in my mouth. :\
I enjoyed it, the final BC was a nice challenge, and the body rewards make up for killing the low level orcs/gobs/etc.
I plan to buy the other two "mini expansions."
Worth the $10? No.
Happy with the reward: Pretty disappointed that it's so good for so little work
Suprised Neosutra made more bawwwww posts: not in the least
I liked it, and plan to buy the next two.
Hell, the last CS at the end of ACP was cool enough to SS and show a few of my friends who quit. Now they want to come back. lol
The augmented items and such from the chests....Eh, I like it. To me it's kind of like an ENM or something, running around or BC fight, then a random reward.
Honestly I love doing missions and quests etc. it's a nice change over from HNM's and crap, it was pretty lackluster even if it's titled "mini" expansion. But the last BC put some taste back in my mouth given as it's a challenging fight and that's what I like. It was less than "okay" but not completely horrible.
I haven't finished it yet, still need the climb/final fight, but I've...moderately enjoyed it. The Goblin thing was driving me up a wall. I liked the idea, and it should be much less painful when everyone and their mother isn't out slaughtering goblins, but it made me want to hurt cute, fuzzy things.
That said, I've always been big into storyline. That's why I'm still playing FFXI, frankly. So in that department, they did pretty well. If you hated CoP and spammed through every CS while cursing violently, then yes, this is most likely quite lame for you. It would be for me too - my only 2 75's are RDM and BLU, neither of which really get anything from those augments that's absolutely omg-must-have.
But seriously, nothing really beats slaughtering mandies with 1k+ Frypans and Body Slams.
4 days after the release of the expansion, I logged on to do a couple of missions. Spent approx. 30 mins killing yagudos for the item but couldn't get any. I've had competition(JP peak weekend, there were 2500+ people on which is pretty high for midgard) but it wasn't horrible....guess I was a little unlucky with drop. I got bored and logged off.
Quite disappointed with the mission design though. It looks to me that they had to resort all this TW mob killing stuff just to extend the time it takes to complete the missions...an unnecessary grind. They could've simply placed ???'s in the zones and added a couple of BC battles.
I wasn't really expecting too much so it wasn't an "OMG FU SE!" situation for me.
I honestly don't think it was worth the 10$ but the augment piece was really good for most jobs, especially PLD. I just wished they added some "Refresh" +1 in the options >_>
I am one of the people who usually spam Enter throughout every storyline. I figured these half-assed stories can't touch the legendary story-lines I remember from previous games in the FF line, so why bother? That said, I actually enjoyed this story and I have PLD so I definitely enjoyed the reward.
And of course I will be buying the new ones coming out soon. Even if they are shitty, it is nice to just be able to do something different for a while apart from the regular boring shit in sea/dynamis/king camping.
I hope for next 2 expasion they won't let us kill weak mobs just make it a ??? POP and make a better team work on the 2 expansion CS seriously why did i waste 3 days trying to kill goblins for lame ass CS?
I don't really have a huge problem with either $10 add-on.
ACP, sure, it's a little shorter than I anticipated it being. Then again, I didn't figure we'd have the rewards outside of the end item, much less repeatable ones, which are a value-add.
In general though, I view it more as DLC than an "expansion pack". While I'm not thrilled at the concept of paying $6 for a handful of costumes in SFIV, for example, to me this sort of add-on is comparable. There are better values, there are worse ones, but it stands up fine in that context.
Refresh on the augments though would have really been nice >_>
I've yet to get my token in the mail, however, again, I don't have a real problem with it. I view it as a premium service option. The storage as an incentive kinda sucks, but at the same time I can see why. They want everyone to have the better security so they don't need to deal with as many support calls.
Perhaps future games will have a token in the box. The assumption is that they're not really making money on these, so simply sending them out would be a huge loss. It's hard to think of a better motivation to buy one though, short of handing out HNM drops or something, and even then...
Missions: Not fun. Want more CoP style missions really really bad.
Reward: Ehhhh. I have a new WS piece for my WHM/NIN escapades. Not really worth paying 10 bucks for.
Taking out the time spent competing for drops, this expansion can be finished in 3-4 hours. When I think of amazing story that totally gets me enthralled, I think of CoP and the last half of ToAU. I sincerely wanted to know what the fuck was going to happen to Aphmau and OMG IS THAT TENZEN ATTACKING ME?!?!?! This expansion is like, super cliched fantasy lore. "I AM THE SON OF YOUR LONG LOST SISTER!! OH WHAT?!?! THE WORLD WILL BE DESTROYED, YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE IT!"
I really like when storyline dives into characters personalities like CoP and Aphmau. Telling me Aldo's nephew needs my help, please endlessly kill goblins does not really tickle me in the slightest.
*EDIT* I was going to spoiler the storyline shit, but if you're dumb enough to open a thread about the new expansion and not expect to read spoilers, you're a dumbass.
