On end-game mobs I have not found that to be the case, sorry.

I don't have a maxed RNG, because I can't. It is not even in my top three jobs, so there are certain trade-offs that occur. Sushi is just better for some people.

You can use both mirke and cobra shoes, keep skadi, use mekki shakki. Not giving up any more than the other option(10 racc or att on body or 10-12 ratt on shoes for 12 racc on ring).

Ok, as I recall, you can get a 6 hit build on Ebow using the following tp pieces:
Rajas Ring
Brutal Earring
Skadi legs

I could be wrong as I have not used ebow in years, but I'm confident that this works.
As far as acc+10 v ratt+10, this is highly gear and merit dependant. For the most part, I'd reccomend accuracy to most rangers; however if you have the best or almost the best gear and full archery merits, you can get attack imo. I think my ranger is pretty maxed on gear and currently, there are only two mobs in the game I have very low natural acc on: Byakko and Jailer of Prudence. If I don't have a bard or corsair, then I use sushi for these two.

Landing sidewinder at 100tp is not hard if you are properly geared and know when to use sharpshot / unlimited shot PPA. (stagger these, do not use sharpshot and unlimited shot PPA at the same time)

A 5 hit build on ebow sounds very difficult to achieve if it can even be done. Regardless, the amount of gear you would sacrifice for it would not be worth it if you ask me.

If it works on sam sub then it might be viable. You sacrifice a lot of damage over war sub, but that's not necessarily bad in terms of hate management

You lose 3/5 berserk and gain meditate, whatever STR hasso gives and 24%ish WS frequency. If berserk beats that then it's at least a good option when you have to sub SAM due to seigan or so.

Hasso does very little for you, but I do agree with you. This is a very good option for ebow rangers. WAR sub only works full time for me because of namas hate. If I were an ebow user, I would def use the sam sub setup

I remember Sonomaa telling me that he doesn't need any RAcc at all while eating meat...Why wouldn't you RAtk/Snapshot augment? If you really need accuracy, you should be eating sushi.

There's a difference between needing sushi and not being capped on hitrate. If you get the full (5% for RNG too) benefit of 10 RACC, or maybe even less (2-3%) it's going to beat the RATK. Cue Cuchulain's topic, it works like that for melee and I don't see a reason why it doesn't for ranged attacks.

Yes, if you're capped on ranged hitrate you'll be better of with RATK instead of RACC, that's no brainer.

Oh and Terra, Hasso indeed does very little but meh, figured I'd mention it anyway.

HNMs are a different story, you basically shouldn't attend HNM fights on RNG unless you are geared well and merited for RNG. And even then why would you think about Slugwindering in a different body piece then Osode? Just don't even consider making this a WS piece for RNG. If your having accuracy troubles on HNMs then focus on rings, weapons, and merits.

For someone who has zero interest in the Neuvo piece since DRK/SAM/DRG have better options elsewhere, I've pretty much decided on a Mirke for my RNG onry. Snapshot's a given but this thread has made me go from tossing back and forth ratk and racc to also including sTP.

My RNG has 0 combat merits (none left unless SE ups it), doesn't get used for endgame events (merits and misc shit only, mostly kc + gun), has vali's and rajas, no skadi. If my sTP calcs are right, ebow needs 13 sTP fulltime for a 6hit, and 36 for a 5hit. /SAM makes a 6hit automatic and 21 more for a 5hit yes? So rajas/skadi/brutal as posted is 13, mekki is 5 more, so the sTP+4 on mirke would be enough but not cover the WS set.

Regardless, I'll likely never see skadi, and currently have no mekki so neither a 5hit when /SAM nor a 6hit non /SAM seems viable, should I even consider sTP? I'm leaning towards racc to cover my lack of merits. If I procured a mekki, I could see snapshot and sTP to facilitate 6hit non /SAM though.

That or Snapshot + MAB so I can pimp some sick holy bolts and trueflights

Does Hasso not give +10 racc also? The haste is treated like job haste, not gear haste, so I always assumed the accuracy would be treated like job accuracy as well (racc+acc). Never really mattered to me, so I never tested it...has someone actually tested this and proven it wrong or ?

Worth testing for sure.

I don't think it gives the extra racc, but that's based off the few times I have subbed samurai.
