and what would your answer be if we're NOT requiring all THFs to upgrade a multi-million gil body piece?

If you're a career thief, you should have a multi-million gil body, eventually. Put that TH to work. But yes, MW with ACC and ATT could be used as a SA/TA/WS piece.

sorry like I said mirke is better than homam and skadi for TPing in meat builds.

10acc 5 dex only puts it 2-3 acc depending on your initial dex behind homam and the 3% DW would easily beat out 1% triple attack, then you get the 5 str as well. I don't see how homam is better, even with a meat build.

would the 3% DW outperform the 4% haste of raparee? I don't sub anything other than nin for my thf

if you have made skadi, then it is definately >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than every other thf body

but if you havent make skadi yet, then:

    <insert mirke or DH+1 pr homam etc etc etc> + 12m >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> skadi

I'm glad I won't be using my ACP Body for THF, there just seems to be so many possibilities. I already have Rapparee, Homam, and Enkidu's... so I can cover most situations, but I could still make an ACP Body to beat all of those most likely. >.>

make the body into something really unique like cor's QD body, PLD enmity + fc body, or ranger snap + ratt body if you have alot of choice for your thf already(homam enkidu skadi etc)

this augment choices are mainly for people who have a hard time obtaining end game thf bodies (hey rapere harness is hard to drop too!)

my predicament is that i have homam body+rap. harness, i cant justify getting the mage/tank bd for my blm rdm or war since i barely use them and i have morri for blm. I want mirke body for thf, but since i have homam would i be better off making a TP body and using DH(doubt ill ever get skadi tbh), or should i use homam and make a beast ws body, and if so what other augment should i get (10 acc is a given)

I've been thinking of getting the acc/atk augment since I honestly do not have a WS piece for THF other than Pahluwan body. :s

sorry just no. Skadi costing 12 Mil doesn't make it any better than homam, in the first place. I got homam body recently ( while having skadi for 1 year). So I immediatley went compare both for TP.

Obviously both used for TP in meat builds on merit level mobs, cause for anything tough or less, rapparee performs better.

Now, the argument of people advertising meleeing in skadi instead of homam, is that the +4attack and +8 dex will beat the 1 acc 1% TA. This is very true, and I went to parse some to check.

I did 200 fight with both body, 4000 dagger hits each. 8 dex only increased the crit% by a ridiculous 1%. This is due to no using a lot of dex in a meat build, for example you get rid of rajas and get two HQ snipers, use bombelet over a lightning bow +1. The only dex gear I used were Love torque and cuchulains mantle. skadi body put me at 97 dex and homam at 89. only 1% crit difference. The 4 attack inceased the average melee dmg by 1.2%.

this is just enough for skadi to equal homam , or slightly beat it, in term of melee dmg...

But let's not forget that the 1 add acc and 1% tripple attack makes you hit more often, get TP faster and thus WS faster....We all know that hitting fast is better than hitting hard right? So in the end homam wins, to my surprise.

Now to the people that still don't realise that mirke with -3% dw acc+10 is better than a homam body, think like this: imagine for a second that you didn't get dualwield delay bonus from /nin and didn't use suppa. then your total dw is -3%. Reducing your delay by 3% increases BOTH melee dmg and WS dmg by 3.x%.. since 1/0.97=1.03x. If you take into account /nin job trait and suppa, then you change this number by x.xx% that I'm not gonna bother compute. Also consider that 10 acc 5 dex gives you 12-13 acc, so 2 or 3 only less than homam. 5 dex will give you what? 0.5% critts up? 5 str adds slightly to melee dmg...We all see now that mirke is a lot better than homam body... as it make syou hit harder AND faster.

PS: for those that don't know wether to use homam or rapparee in a certain situation: try to evaluate your accuracy. Basically if homam body caps you, then rapparee will be better ( since homam is overkill wasted acc.); if homam doesn't cap you, keep it. The point of inflexion where rapparee becomes better than homam is 88.5% acc if I recall. I'm guesing the inflexion point for rapparee VS mirke will be 91-92%?

Why is everyone so obsessed with Dual Wield? Don't you realized it reduces your TP gained per hit? For a job that does most of its damage with TP, I would think that would be detrimental.

    No.

On most mobs, THF does most damage with melee DoT + SA/TA. Unless you stack your JAs with your WSs every time (which on anything but an endgame fight will reduce your overall damage), your melee + SA/TA component will far outstrip your WS component.

Still doesn't seem better than any of the other alternatives listed; Enkidu, Dragon, Skadi, Homam, all of which give you faster TP.

first TP gain is floored at 4.9% for thf and dualwield -3% won't change it. Second you just need a rajas or a skadi leg to get 5+, which is all a thf should care about as far as stp goes.

Enkidu's yes, it has Accuracy. Dragon no, don't know why that's in there. It should be Raparee.

    Enkidu: 10 acc vs 10acc and 3DW
Or are we talking about same thing?

Treasure Hunter +1 isn't an Augment option, so Mirke Wardecors is worthless for THF!

There, questions answered and problems solved!
