I think you're assuming dual wield has the exact same increasing effect as haste, you have to remember that despite haste's increasing return on top of itself, dual wield lowers the direct quantity of delay reduction from haste.

    I.E. 25% haste on 100 delay = 75, 25% haste on 97 delay = 72.75, not the 72 delay 3% more haste would create.

I'm not even sure the dual wield would outperform double attack due to the tp gain difference.

Anyway, I'll just put it this way as far as using this body for a nin piece in general: I spend 90% of my time in game as nin/dnc, and in the end I'm 90% certain I'll be sticking with the $10 pennance robe. Garuda leaving my mp sitting still with just signet refresh full time = sex.

The closer to an attack speed of 0 you get, the more advantageous speed becomes, even if it seems to 'diminish' in potency. It's why they measure haste in percentages and not flat values, otherwise it would be grossly empowering to a fast melee and horribly underwhelming to a slow one.

DW 'decreases' haste potency yes, but not in such a way that the haste itself is diminished. And no, I sincerely doubt 2% DA can beat -3% DW, considering it can't even beat 10 att.

This. Sure, DW doesnt "stack" with Haste, but it still reduces overall delay (and has increasing returns with itself). And yeah, Double Attack 2 is nowhere near as good as Dual Wield +3.

Still, if you want a body for another job, go for that lol.

The reduction in quantity should be about equal to the increased effects of lower delay.

I.E. that 2.25% reduction at 75 delay should be about equal to the increased damage of the 3% at 100. Basically, the decrease in haste benefit per dual wield and the increase in benefit per higher haste should cancel each other out, making it almost exactly a 3% damage increase from whatever the base was.

Considering that, the 2% increase from base of double attack combined with the increase in tp may well be right on par.

Stacking DW scales just like stacking Haste, though they are handled separately; since there is no magic or JA DW, just traits and gear, a NIN with 30% base DW will get most benefit out of a DW body piece.
