k so its only tangentially about how Adama becomes who he is, its mainly about his father and the man who creates the cylons 58 years before the events of BSG. They make a connection b/c of something that happens to both of them (if you saw the commercials during the BSG finale you should know what it is as they spelled it out in the sneak preview). Anywhoo, Adama's father is a lawyer as we know and has some mob connections, which I assume they will tie into the maturation of Bill Adama. The other guy is essentially Baltar but smarter and equally douchy/evilish. So far in terms of the kind of religious/social commentary that BSG had there is a terrorist sect that believes in the Cylon god. It looks promising, and hopefully it will have as much nudity week to week as the opening did.

Is it just me or is the premise in its entirety pointless since we know that Cylons didn't get human forms until the 5 came and taught them how? So everything the guy is doing is futile since we know he doesn't achieve his goal?

Yeah I get the same feeling. I guess there's a difference between being a virtual avatar of another person and sharing the same feelings and same personality than the perfected humanoid cylons from BSG who were completely unique outside of sharing a similar body. Though going off an assumption I'm guessing eventually they'll manage to construct a skin for Zooey like Daniel said, cosmetics etc later on, but that also creates a problem because everyone in BSG was surprised cylons could look human when this guy's apparently going to manage it. Blah. Anyway whatever good show regardless.

Kid Adama is old enough that he should remember if cylons could look human unless Daniel keeps Zooey a secret and away from everyone, too early to say.

Regardless I can't wait for the actual series because TV's been lacking without BSG and Caprica seems like a good show despite if they can tie everything into BSG neatly. Been dying for Caprica and The Plan that'll be released later this year.
