Of what?
Of what?
Most of the simulation games, The Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, etc, are often branded strategy-simulation. But I feel there's very little if any strategy in raising a pet dog, especially with the way most people play the games it seems it's just "Simulate real life... on your PC/console"
My Sims certainly never lead normal lives.
Games where there are very little strategy(to put it roughly) are not really games at all. They only look like games. Stuff like SimCity or raising a dog might have desired results, but their rules are not built around goals.
For example in a pure airplane simulator crashing into a building isn't losing or winning. In SimCity blowing your city to fucking pieces with tornados and shit is essentially the same as achieving utopia. I would go as far as to call them toys.
Now a game like Ace Combat has a goal, an objective.
Yeah, it is a shame these nongames get called strategy games. I think we are in agreement they shouldn't be called that?
I still find these nongames enjoyable to a certain point. Stuff like Wiifit is a joke because it is simple shit, but look into the flight simulation scene and it's incredibly interesting.
EDIT: Another incredibly simple analogy.
A basketball has no goal. You must add new rules to turn it into a game.
my favorite kind of games are where you make your own goals
and by goals i mean
fucking fat chicks
Fuck that, im playing Xenogears again when I get home. I stopped half way through about 2 months ago.
I DOTN NEED A RESON OK!?
I mean my top 3 games are prob. FFT, Xenogears and Persona 1. And yes, I fucking love Atlus games. Fuck you guys.
Banging fatties isn't a goal, it's a given. Fatties put out like nobody's business. They don't have the luxury to be picky. How do you think Charismatic gets laid so easily?
Husky bitches need love too playa.
Th best thing about fat women is that you can run away easier.
Well the goal is ultimately to have fun, unless you lose. Then you're a loser.
PERSONA 4 IS SUCH A GREAT GAME OH MY GOD
SimCity does have scenarios with tangible goals, though.
