Still waiting... Update! MN Supreme Court upholds recount for Al Franken

The Raw Story | Court declares Franken winner but Coleman refuses to concede

I wish the court had ruled that Coleman deserved a punch in the nuts from Anderson Silva for this BS..

Can't tell if trolling or wut, but why not? It's not like the MN SC stole the election for him when he was the winner after the recount/legal bs prior to the SC decision. And to my knowledge there was nowhere near the irregularity/bullshit that accompanied what happened in Florida. Nor did Coleman get the popular vote over Franken.

Reverse troll? The margin was 312 votes out of over 2.5 million, SC totally decided it.

Yes, but this election is not as important as Florida was in 2000, Bush fucked shit up where Gore probably would've been slightly better. Also, Franken's election won't change much in DC since Obama is too chickenshit to do real progressive policy with or without 61 Dems in the Senate. If anything his election just provides more fodder for the GOP in 2010 to gain traction against evil Congressional Democrats like Franken, Pelosi etc. Those 312 deciding votes do not compare to the 500,000 popular vote advantage that Gore had over Bush that was salt for the wounds that Gore supporters suffered in 2000. Finally, I have not heard any allegations in MN approaching the bullshit Katherine Harris and Co pulled in Florida in 2000. So libruhls should continue QQing about Bush v Gore.

the recount was actually allowed to be completed and the court voted 5-0 in favor of Franken.

this isn't "shit stop the recount before it shows you lose and we'll do this along "party lines" of judges"

You're right, a filibusterer proof majority totally isn't important at all. You seriously don't think this is like Bush v Gore?

Does Coleman have any legitimate arguments for thinking he is the true winner?

I'm not super well versed in this, but it always felt like to me the entire court challenge seemed to be based on "but...but it was weawwy weawwy cwose! *sniffle*" - which would make it not particularly like Bush v. Gore.

If you want to get really abstract, it's a supreme court ruling on a close election, so in that way it's really similar I guess?
