Dreamcast question!

I've tried finding this information on my own, but every website I'm told to follow is no longer active.

I'm wondering if it's possible to plug a phone line into my Dreamcast's modem + my PC's 56k network card, and then share my cable internet connection I have on my PC's ethernet card to my Dreamcast through the 56k card.

If that makes any sense . I realize seganet servers are probably all down, but I just wanna browse the web on my Dreamcast to get save files that I lost ages ago (+unlocking characters for fighting games is boring.)

Are you refering to the fact that you want to "share" your connection from your Ethernet to your 56K modem, so you could get your Dreamcast online? No. Not possible. Modem and ethernet are entirely different thing.

If you have cable or DSL, it's very likely you have a free dial-up account you can use for the dreamcast that you never knew you had access to.

Better question would be does Dreamcast still have servers devoted to it's users?

There are homebrew programs you can burn to an everyday CD-R that allow you to load cheats, saves, etc. from the disc to your DC VMU. Takes about 3 seconds on google, and its free.

No you can not share, and 2 SEGA took down the Dreamcast servers years ago, no more playing online.

There are unofficial servers you can connect to. Like SCHTHACK for PSO online.

worth noting that the PSO servers for the DC are mostly dead (Same for GC) its all PC usually.
