    Mac Superdrive question.

I had just a little mac book laptop I gave my cousin that was in working order less the CD drive, and he wants to install a new super drive and take out the combo drive that's busted. He was looking on eBay and saw a cheap one from a power book and asked me if it would work in a mac book, and I have no idea. So my question to you is, will a Apple PowerBook DVI Titanium DVD/CD Combo Drive, model CW-8121 work in a MacBook that has a CW-8221-C combo drive?

Assuming they both use the same connection (I assume SATA) and your Macbook is using the most recent release of OS X (10.5.6) it should recognise it as a working drive.

I think it was at 10.5.1 last I updated it. But that wouldn't be a problem.

    Thank you for your help.

Just make sure they're the same size; different types of macs have different form factors sometimes!

Hahaha, knowing me that would be the one thing I'd miss.
