This has to be the most racist thing ever put into a game. They made the black man carry guns, sing and dance, and he carries a small chicken (chocobo, I guess) in his afro. Are you fucking kidding? Love this game just for that.

Anyway, I don't understand why this game has taken so long to make-- Nothing too impressive yet, although I like the music. Really think the 360 port delayed the game a year and a half for everyone.

I don't see how you're hating on what you're seeing. The game looks fucking great and the gameplay looks fun. It's playing par for the course, but its not disappointing.

Although.. I don't know if it's just the resolution, but the black character looks badly animated--Or is just kinda boring design, looks like he was taken from a PS2 generation game.

Well, I'm looking for something new.

So far the level is bland--it already looks somewhat repetitive, although the environmental effects are awesome. I want to see more I guess, but the point of the Demo is to reveal just a little bit of whats to come-- and so far, I'm not impressed.

Typically, I'm impressed when its something I wasn't expecting.. This is everything I was expecting, so I'm unimpressed.

It doesn't look bad, and you bet I'll be getting it launch day--Also, I'm not through the entire video yet, I'll let you know if I change my mind.

Edit: The characters with guns seem like a waste of time, hitting for like 35dmg in one round of attacks compared to 4-500 from Lightning and the Cloud guy.

Wow. It's amazing how people can pile on a game about "Wow. It's very unimpressive, etc etc" and "shit looks stupid." Maybe I'm just not paying attention... but this is just a demo. It's not like shit in demos always translate to the real game. Just look at FFVIII's demo that had you playing as Seifer, summoning Leviathan, etc. It's not all the same. People can despise the battle system. That's alright, but the other parts, and complaining about the time it took to make the game? Laughable.

Was good, I like that there is minimal loading time between encounter and the actual fighting. Wish I could read Japanese so I knew what commands they were entering, however, it seemed like it was spamming Attack with random Ice attacks.

I mostly didn't like the level/area that was shown, awesome environmental effects aside, it was very linear with random rocks in the way. Music was good, although I don't know what to think about the game rating every fight with a star ranking--I wonder how that will be implemented into the game? Leaderboards only, or integral to leveling up? There is also that Bonus thing on the top right during fights, what is that for? Probably related to special attacks.

Overall, good, but I don't want to get too excited since I was let down with FF12. Just because it looks amazing doesn't mean it plays well. Ever since I threw in Lost Odyssey for the 360 I've felt like the classic combat system has aged rather badly. Some people love it, some people hate it--I'm sick of it, especially with such long ass encounter loading screens in Lost Odyssey. On the opposite side of the spectrum however is Kingdom Hearts that gives more freedom to run around and be more of an active participant in battle, I didn't like that much either. I guess I want something inbetween, but mostly, I am interested to see how the level progression works in the game... That's why I keep coming back to RPGs, that and sometimes the amazing stories these games often tell.

Incredibly long cutscene. Nice music and graphics(as usual only redeemable aspects in the series.) Black dude is an idiot clown. Who'd expect that? I just jumped in, not sure where I am at.

EDIT: Is that a ranking system I see lol? Person is getting 5 stars by spamming spamming default attack, so what's the point? Perhaps things get difficult at some point.

Most of it is something like:

EDIT: All of out of combat play has been walking for 1 minute until another cutscene. Sometimes 2 or 3 enemies stand in the way.

EDIT 2: I am finding myself looking at forums while waiting for the interactive parts. It's FFXI all over again!

EDIT 3: lol at the guy, he keeps punching thin air because the enemy died first.
