So fucking annoying tbh, wish people were actually talking about the game.
Anyways, anyone reminded of Xenosaga 2 when you have to hit enemies into the air? Seems like theres something like that in this game too...

Graphically its about where I expected. The quality of the video isn't fantastic but I can picture how it actually looks in HD. Battle System looks okay, reserving judgment until I actually try it.
Based on nothing but trailers I'm actually more interested in FF13 Versus, but admittedly I deliberately know very little story-wise about either game.
It looks like your typical Final Fantasy Cash Cow. Hope it has multiplayer. Doubt it, though.
Why would a final fantasy game have multiplayer? If you want multiplayer, pass the controller when its their charaters turn to pick a move. You're too into "today's games"(IE: Shitty xbox 360 games, halo perhaps?), its not a FPS.
If you want multiplayer in the Final Fantasy series then I would suggest looking at XI. I just do not see how there could be multiplayer aspects applied without radically changing gameplay for the worse, I could imagine a co-op, but that would be best for Action RPGs along the lines of Kingdom Hearts and Zelda, where the battles are real time and not turn based. If they are going to refine the combat system they used in XII, I could again see some co-op aspect, but honestly why would you want any form of Multiplayer in an RPG? I do not see what entertainment could be had from it, if anything the reason I get traditional RPG's is for the story and the fact that I can play them by myself, on my time.
FFIX and couple others did have a limited multiplayer option where you could assign a second controller to control party members(No. 2 and 3 etc?). Kinda like co-op during battle...was a bit pointless though.
They should just make a current gen multiplayer/online FFT.
That would be by far the coolest shit ever. Dofus did a good job of having a turn based strategy MMO so it is possible. Maybe the whole purpose of WotL's multiplayer was to see if there were any fans of the genre.
Also, wasn't FFXII initially supposed to have online multiplayer? I remember there being issues since sony dumped the HDD and online adapter in the US. It probably would have really made a difference but somehow I know they would have fucked it up.
The demo looks pretty decent, but Afro-Man is kind of annoying. All he needs is a big set of pink lips and some grape juice. I shouldn't complain though, they could have easily put in a dark-skinned african/native american/indian mutt with braids like they did in XI. Maybe they're being nice since we have a black president now lol.
Unless they rebalanced it... it would be pretty terrible. I think you are too attached to the name. I hope the idea of playing a turn-based strategy isn't new to you because you are missing out on some great games(if it isn't, then I don't see the reason to be excited about multiplayer FFT.)
I think I got stupider while reading this thread. Seriously. Some of the reasoning and the "I hope it has multiplayer"... What? Outside of IX, XI, and Chrystal Chronicles, point me to a Final Fantasy with a real multi-player. Oh.. and Dissidia doesn't count. IX's multi-player wasn't even a "real" multi-player. Was just stupid. Multi-player doesn't mean something automatically becomes better.
Also, if they did release FFT, I would want the amped up version. Have you heard of Final Fantasy Hactics, BRP? If not, then yeah. Pretty sure it'd give ya a little challenge. Then again, that's actually rebalanced where you don't rape everything in a few turns.
Anyway, gonna go back to bashing a game based on an hour or so of gameplay.
It really did look unappealing.
The battle system reminded me of Xenogears and Legend of legaia
What about Ehrgeiz?
Are people remembering this is a FF title? Why ask for multiplayer, FF is about epic storylines and casting crazy spells not busting out the split screen and shooting up your enemies. I didn't get a chance to see the Demo sadly but seeing as how much I loved the previous FF games I am going to be pretty happy if they keep it relatively the same. FF12 was perfect as far as gameplay to me, but it sounds like this next one is turn based?
So mad I missed Demo![]()
It's your lucky day, friend!

Omg it looks incredible.
I bash on this game because it is an update to a very poor series. You see FF13, I see FF v.1382. The trailer only seemed to back that. Very boring combat, cutscenes every minute, and an extreme focus on aesthetics in an attempt to drown the crap out.
It only seems natural to me to ask for FF multiplayer. The single player isn't challenging or deep at all. To be honest I don't think it would be a good multiplayer game anyway. We'd be lucky to get something even on the level of Pokemon.
You are completely wrong about the whole epic storylines bit. If it was about that... it would be a book or a movie. You are correct in saying it is not about shooting people. That would make it an action game, not a strategy game.
FF12 was obviously not a perfect game. If it was why would they make another one?
Well the next step would be to learn what to do by thinking about it.
You asked why a company would make a sequel to a "perfect game", whatever that means.
I know you're not that dumb as to not know the most blindingly obvious answer, so I'm trying to think sideways about why you would say that otherwise.
Maybe I'm just confused by the characterization of Final Fantasy as a "very poor series". Or something. I dunno, probably not worth thinking about.
