Mithra Swift Belt Mob Solo on BST

I was wondering if anyone had any experience solo'ing the Mithra mob on BST.

Is a 2hr'd IT Hecteyes enough to kill her, or would I have to bring her to an area where I can charm more mobs?

I'm going to guess that on mithra, given how she keeps buffing herself, without a dispel handy a blubbereyes will get torn to shreds and then she'll kill you. With a dispel, blubber should be able to do it.

Personally, I've never successfully charmed a blubbereyes, I've been tempted to try mithra solo but those blubbers just won't charm, even with light threnody and +chr elegy.

I think a single hecteyes won't be enough, you'll have to pull her back to the zone and marathon for a bit once your IT dies. But I haven't actually fought Mithra with IT eyes yet, just Hume and Taru.

Would taru be a better choice? I can dualbox a Taru RDM or BLM to pop the mob and help with the fight.

one IT pet wont be enough, chainspell will kill it fast. I have killed it many times with two BST playing ping pong with the even match eyes though, so it should be possible solo as /nin with a bit of medecines. bring a THF!

I'd go with this. Would hate to put all that effort into soloing it, just to get no drop. Assuming TH affects the droprate, which I think it does.

I've personally done this as a Mithra BST duo. Two of the IT familiared pets make short work of the NM. I'm not sure about a solo, but duo is definately doable.

It's soloable with 2 hred IT hecteyes. The only problem I foresee is nasty resists coming from initially attempting to charm hecteyes because they resist charm as it is. It's good to have a duo buddy to hold em off for those situations while you try to recharm them. Aside from that, an IT hecteyes will destroy the mithra NM. Take some pet food as backup in case it gets smart with the spells it chooses (esp. for chainspell) to keep its HP up and you will be fine. I've had solo runs where my hecteye is left at around 70% hp and others where its near death and had to spam reward whenever it was up. Duoing the NM is a complete joke with 2 IT hecteyes. Just fight > sic and go afk while they tear the mithra apart.

If you can find a way for your dualbox to distract the Taru's elemental while your pet kills it you'll be fine (I can't think of one myself.)
The hecteyes will be overwhelmed by both of them hitting it at once, however (as well as stupidly hitting the elemental instead of the NM if I remember rightly.)

I've tried, solo is near impossible. Duo how ever is very possible. Just use two IT+ hecteyes. You will still need meds and food but can be done.
