if u dont mind saying, where you go to high school atm in the city?
curious myself since im going to my first semester of college in the fall too
One thing I didn't see mentioned was:
If you find it difficult, don't drop out. Best is straight from high school to college and stay in until you graduate. I waited 7 years to start college and it was a waste. Funding may seem scary, but in the end, it's worth it.
People who take a term off usually don't come back it seems.
My advice:
1) Don't skip a class. It's easy to get into the habit of doing it once you do it a few times.
2) Do all your homework within a reasonable time frame of it being due.
3) If you need to study, start earlier. Cramming isn't fun and it's a mental drain.
4) Party, but do it sparingly the first semester, so you can get used to it.
5) Make friends in all social groups and grades. College is a great place to build a network system you can use for years to come.
6) Don't play FFXI on school nights or during exam weeks. Nothing is worse then being tired in class because that "5 minutes" more in an exp, HNM camp, etc turned into 2 more hours.
7) Get plenty of sleep early on. It lets your body get used to the sleep system and you'll be more likely to keep on track if you start off that way.
8 ) If she tells you "This is the first time I've ever done this" or "I've always wanted to try this", she's most likely lying. Get away...quickly.
