Edit: Since I'm feeling nice... here's an actual list of secessionist movements. I don't doubt that most states have had some kind of *movement* to secede, but that doesn't say anything about the significance or strength of said movement. Most of the secessionist movements nowadays are a joke, with Texas and Alaska being the possible exceptions.

Vermont has a pretty active secession movement - actually they were their own sovereign country for 15-20 years after the Revolution so I think there might be a different term for it.

Cool story about that. I actually did a project on it in middle school whether which age groups had the highest likelihood of actually licking their way all the way through without biting. The results were fascinating.

I'm from Texas, during the Clinton Administration I was laid off ZERO times.
During the Bush Administration I was laid off FOUR times. Some were outsourced, some companies folded due to the economy(after 9/11 not now), and some of the companies were made bad business decisions which cost the employees.

Even though I was born there, I hate visiting Texas so hard I shudder every time I'm forced to go there. I hardly see my dad's side of the family. I just got back this past weekend and somehow in the two days I was there visiting my grandmother I caught the nastiest flu I've ever had.
