Dusk till Dawn?

Someone please explain to me the difference between this and Nighttime for Ninja related gear. Is it worth upgrading? I've tried BG/other wiki but found nothing in the discussions.

My only guess is that it extends/widens the duration?

I think it's like 2 hours on each side but I really don't remember specifically.

It is 1 hour on each side (4 min 48 secs in earth time) and if you are going to upgrade nin it should be your first or second piece to upgrade. First if you have enkidu hands, second if you don't then it should be hands for jin.

16:00-18:00 is considered dusk for the Carmelo quest "Lover's in the Dusk" in case that helps.
