    Everything's working fine for me atm, although I haven't been in any of the areas anyone is reporting not being able to get in at yet.

    Wow after waiting for a GM to get back to me, I noticed a flashing GM thing at the top telling me to check helpdesk. It was a message saying GM's can't help with technical difficulties and to check my cables & read https://secure.playonline.com/supportus/index.html. Awesome, why would I have expected anything more out of their "support"?

    I seem to be okay on my main after having a friend move me out of port windurst a second time. However, what baffles me is that both my mule and girlfriend's character both work fine in that zone on the same pc. Similarly, my girlfriend's character perpetually d/cs in alzadaal while my other characters are fine there.

    This is getting ridiculous. Not only can I not get in game to talk to a GM but they appear to only have 1 GM working the POL side.

    In line 4 out of 7 people for what has now been 52 minutes.

    Edit: I have TWC but the rest of my internet is working at least decently.

    Ya no shit, when I called a GM about it last night I waited in line for 61 people, instead of even talking to me they sent me a form Helpdesk message saying GM's cant help with technical issues and referred me to their BS POL website help section. Thinking about calling time warner and having them reset my connection even though I've already done the unplug everything power cycle and it is working fine for everything else. Giving out my information on the day I'm probably going to receive a security token in order to be moved from the location seems a bit ironic lol

    Well I'm coming back from a suspension (the one time in my FFXI career I honestly didn't do anything wrong) and I got in GM chat around 6:30AM and said "I had a hold on my account and I don't want to be released from here until we discuss the situation regarding my suspension."

    He promptly apologized for the hold, said he'd talk to me in game, and kicked me out of chat before I even had a chance to type 3 words. That was just over an hour ago now.

    After trying for 15 minutes to log into Whitegate I was forced back into the GM prompt when logging into POL where I now continue to wait.

    Will probably have to leave for class / work before I get into chat. This is fucking fantastic.

    Edit for semi-related note: CLEARED OF ALL CHARGES FUCK YEAH. NELSON MANDELLA BABY, FUCK YEAH.

    Just got in, booted out of dynamis of course and warped to whitegate. I still had a bunch of network errors while logging in but it's a step in the right direction at least.

    I also have TWC and I've been having log in problems since yesterday evening. Been getting various errors just trying to get on to POL, sometimes I don't even make it to the character select screen.

    When I do finally get through I can log on to my mules with a little trouble, but I've been able to force myself through just by re-trying. My main though I can't touch, when I try to log in on that I keep getting stuck on the black "downloading data..." screen.

    I definitly think it's TWC issue, as I brought my laptop to work last night where we have Verizon FIOs and was able to log in with no problems what so ever. I come home from work this morning and am still having problems at my house.

    In fact it seems to be worse this morning then it was last night, having more problems just trying to get on POL.

    The worst part about it is that it seems completely random where it decides to derp out, there's no consitancy to the errors or where the errors take place in the log in process, and how sometimes it will just let you go back to the previous screen you were at and others it will completely shut POL down on you. Let alone the fact that we're able to log in on certain characters but not others that are all on the same account.

    I'm having difficulties as well. I have TWC at home, but I'm having trouble at work which is a on a strong university connection. Timeouts and connection failures all over the place. If it means anything, I'm currently stuck trying to zone into East Ronfaure [S]. Any known zone maintenance going on there on Carbuncle?

    I don't think it's just TWC. I have lolComcast and it took 4 tries to get in last night. Once I did things were really lagged and I kept R0ing all over the place. After about an hour it went back to normal but when I logged my mule account on and off on PC and PS2 I had to go through the same bullshit.

    ittsss baacckkkk. Silver coin warp taru'ing to home city yielded me the Downloading data screen which of course dropped to error 3001, no response from ffxi server.

    This is just screaming DDoS. RMT must be pissed with people getting their tokens. Otherwise maybe a bad DNS server somewhere.

    Well I was able to log in after bombarding attempts. I was also lucky enough to make it to Nash without DCing during 4 zones. I am still experiencing search errors such as /sea all member etc. I'm just going to park my ass in Nash and fish all day since I don't want to risk zone DCing again and not being able to get back on. I'm also still going to contact online support when they open to at least report the problem.

    I have charter and this morning it's the same exact issue. I cannot log my main on in konschtat highlands or port windurst, but if I have someone move it it seems okay until I find a trouble zone again. Girlfriend's char still stuck in alzadaal, mule can log on fine anywhere and go anywhere >.>;

    I thought I was the only one

    TWC cable internet, and yes, my problems seem exactly like the old denial of service attacks that plagued ffxi a few years ago. Pretty gay that you can get to certain zones and not others. If the problem still exists tonight I'm going to try using some different dns servers.

    It's frustrating as hell, TWC techs don't understand what you are asking and POL help says things are working as normal.

    I'm trying to speak with an online support agent for POL, but of course 7 minutes after support opens they're experiencing high wait times. Even though I'm currently logged in I'm still going to try to make them aware of the issue whether they view it as one or not.

    I was having this problem night before last (randomly d/ced from moghouse in whitegate, the tele crystal dem, and hall of the gods). All three times I was d/ced it took several attempts (with timeouts etc) to log back in. I use charter for internet and was able to access everything else at the time just fine. Don't know what's up with XI but I don't think it's host specific.

    Must be a lot of people with issues mentioned here. Support opened at 12, I placed my support request at 12:07 and it is now 1:10. An hour+ wait getting in that quick at opening time is ridiculous.

    edit: lol 70 minutes later *note, before the message I wrote TECHNICAL since it said to specify:
