    Cure Clog macro

    Hello! Just had a quick question:

    Is /wait 1 enough time to get the benefit of the - cure cast time % from the clogs. For example my Cure V macro looks like:

    /equip "feet" "Cure Clogs"
    /wait 1
    /equip "feet""Cleric's Duckbills"

    I read on another forum where someone said that the proximity of the feet swap might not be enough time for the server or whatever to process the change and the benefit of the - cast time or MND+ of the shoes respectively will be lost.

    You shouldn't even need a wait honestly. What might this "other forum" be haha?

    with that /wait 1 i think should work. anyway, try to see the seconds for ur cures and try different /waits.

    /equip feet "Cure Clogs"
    /ma "Cure V" <t>
    /equip feet "Cleric's Duckbills"

    will work fine.

    tbh if you have to use a /wait 1, then what's the point of using cure clogs at all? they certainly don't save you more than a second.

    Yeah rog is correct you need no delay between equip swaps and spell commands to gain fastcast benefit, or any other benefit I suspect.

    If you have two /equip lines for the same slot close together, the macro will just swap between them when you hit it. I don't think having the spell command in between them is enough delay, but perhaps putting the second equip at the bottom of the macro with dummy lines in between would be enough.

    Needs a 600ms delay between equip swaps of the same slot.

    standing>0ms>equip1>600ms>equip2

    Ok, thanks everyone for the clarification. The other site was allakhazam by the way, lol.

    Edit: Ok, the same concept applies to macros that are configured with notepad? I play on PS2 but my friend plays on PC and she uses notepad to create her macros, so her macro for Cures look like:

    /ma "Cure V" <st>
    /console exec WHM/WHMcure5.txt*
    /equip feet "Cleric's Duckbills"
    /wait 4
    /console exec WHM/MaxMP.txt

    * The WHM/WHMcure5.txt macro set contains her Cure Clogs equip macro.

    this will not work

    They will have to idle in cure clogs if they want to use <st> reliably without using spellcast on pc. It's easier with <t>. If they have blinkmenot and have it set to blockself or blockall then you can have /equip feet cure clogs in first line then /ma cure v st in 2nd line. That way you don't blink your target arrow away.

    Or they can just use <stal> <stpc>

    then it would look like

    /equip feet "cure clogs"
    /ma "cure v" <stal>
    //exec whm/whmcure5.txt

    and so on

    Code:
    <if Spell="Cure*|Cura*">
    	<action type="Equip" when="Precast"><feet lock="true">Cure Clogs</feet></action>
    	<action type="Equip" when="Midcast" Set="Healing" />
    </if>
    is easier!

    The last post has my scratching my head. XD Where would that code go and how can she configure it specifically for Cure III-V and Curaga 1 & II.

    Again, thanks for all the feedback. Want to make sure our macros are perfect and functioning!

    Edit: Yes, she also uses blinkmenot with targetself off and combatself off turned off.

    Ok maybe its just me, but since you are doing a hybrid FFXI + Windower macros, this seems a little more complicated than it needs to be. Obviously you have a windower macro specifically for Cure V, so change your macro setup to be like this:

    /target <st>
    //exec whm\\WHMcure5.txt

    then your windower macro:

    Code:
    input /equip feet "Cure clogs"
    input /ma "Cure V" <lastst>
    input ... the rest of whatever was in your WHMcure5.txt
    wait 1
    input /equip feet "Cleric's Duckbills"
    wait 3
    exec WHM\\MaxMP.txt

    That code is for Spellcast, the greatest Windower plugin ever. :b

    Spellcast looks confusing as hell to me, lol. Maybe I'll look again and spend some time trying to figure it out.

    Yes do. A bitch to setup the first time but completely worth it.

    I noticed there is only a /wait 1 in her macro and her boots change before casting is finished ... I was always under the assumption special gear like that which reduce casting/recast time have to be on when the spell is finished casting to receive the effects. Is there something I'm missing, because it doesn't make sense otherwise to start casting in something and take it off before the effect is granted?

    They're separate: casting time is figured at start of cast, recast at end.
