Depends on what I'm doing and what job(s) I'm on. I tend to use Soothing Healer the most. I only really use Fierce Attacker when I'm duoing Promyvon stuff. I don't think I've ever used the second Shield one. O_o

Soothing Healer most of the time. I like Great Axe for Break Techniques, and some good WSs. Soothing Healer is so much better than it used to be, A.I. is much faster. Sadly, sometimes artificial intelligence is better than some player'sSometimes just for fun, i like to use my NPC in conjunction with a pet job. The Stalwart Shield frame might be good if they gave the bugger some shadows. It's still face tanking like's it 2004 or whatever. Fierce attacker and GK can be good when you cant' find anyone to WS with for points.
Wish these damned NPCs would Level Synch. Would like to see how well a polearm works on East Ronfaure S colibri.
Mine's still only 68, how about everyone else? ...boy, the last NPC Genkei fight is fun.
Like others have said: if I'm /DNC or mage, fierce attacker. If I have no curing ability I bring soothing healer.
Fierce Attacker was awesome for doing WS points on my Nyzul Weapons. GKT.
Atonement, Death Blossom and Garland of Bliss were all damn easy.
(Poison Nails > Enpi > Retribution = /glee)
Otherwise, Soothing Healer. I enjoy that Haste, and they tend to take care of themselves that way too.
As said above npc is great with a pet job, almost like having a small army at your command.
I've been using Fierce Attacker as of late due to being able to heal as a SCH/BST (BST 75 for charming purposes) but when I was leveling BST I would use Soothing Healer.
Also my WHM(?) npc rocks a Great Axe.
