Looks like these will just be fluff interviews. If the same was done on the JP side I'm sure things would be much different.

Yeah, LBR spun off shows like HSSS and Elegantly Edwith as the became a "network" such that they would have more than 1 podcast a month. I think there is a Vandiel Profiles podcast too under the network, so many podcasts... So now we have in character shows and shows dedicated fully to signet. I used to listen to them all, now I just catch LBR if I have a huge chunk of free time.

Honestly, the only thing I can look forward to is maybe some logistics behind Mog Bonanza. It's clear that they wouldn't want anyone to think about anything other than how to get new furnishings.

It's probably worth noting too that these guys are the community team. They aren't the developers, they aren't the localization team. These are the guys that read community forums, blogs and help set up events like the fan fest, not the guys that decide what the new avatars are going to be, how they work, and how you beat Absolute Virtue.

Chances are if there's anything they can't answer it's not because they have to keep it under wraps, it's because they simply don't know.

After getting past that, I think the discussions should be enjoyable and offer some interesting views and information about subjects we may not normally hear a lot about. (like global support)

I don't see why this was so hard for some people to understand... People said SE needs to be closer to the community...<.< Guess they only meant the developers and not the people who SHOULD be getting closer since they're the ones that pass things on to the higher ups.

If PFA and LBR go through with the interviews then they are nothing more than fan boys and shills.

They should just turn down the interviews.

What I don't understand is why does SE treat this game like it is filled with CIA secrets and the locations to all of the terrorists in the world?

Why is it so fucking hard to answer some real questions? Why can't they talk about the game that they fucking want us to play? This is especially true considering the trash they have been putting out in the last couple of updates.

This is just stupid, it's patronizing and it's worthless. Just say no to these interviews and tell them to come back with something that you actually care about instead of just acting like SE's mouthpieces and shills.

Are you telling me than when you said that you hoped to have more contact with SE that this was even close to what you envisioned?

These topics are either only tangentially related to the game or completely unrelated. These topics are the opposite of the contact that was requested in the LBR episode about the bannings.

There is a difference between working with SE to provide more information for everyone and doing interviews that do nothing but buy off those that are supposed to be helping the community get more contact out of SE?

Do the community a service. Unanimously turn down these fluff interviews while asking that SE show respect to their players and do proper interviews with the proper representatives.

I'll admit, I think the PFA/LBR interviews will be at least something, like light reading. The HSSS one I cringe at.

I do hope you bring up the Alla PW coverage time-delay versus PFA though.

Then next time there's developer interviews, don't let people flood them with PW/AV questions and more important questions that affect everyone like the version update quality/add-on quality etc. These are community people, so it's only logical they're doing community based things (i.e Events, contests etc.)

If you really don't want to listen to the discussions (it's NOT a back and forth Q and A) then don't. It's clear you have already decided you are going to hate the episodes. Nobody is making you listen to these.
We're doing this for the people that are actually interested in hearing things like how the community teams interact with the development team.
