Where's your dignity? How does it feel knowing you're about to deepthroat SE on live internet radio? Don't neglect the balls.

I understand what Fusionx is saying. Even though we may not get the interview that we want, at least the premiere sites are building stronger relations with SE. Most of the stuff we want answered are things that SE is not going to comment on. We'll end up with another interview full of questions and no answers and everyone will complain that the interview was a waste. We'd end up with something like:
Now in regards to the events that are allowed to be talked about...a majority of the community whines and complains that the events each year are boring rehashes of the same thing. This would be the chance to give them feedback to change these events/add something new to them since they are looking for feedback from the community...Developers Interview 4/20
- In the most recent patch, it would appear that you changed the accuracy/duration of enfeebles, yet it was not addressed in the update notes. Was this intentional or will this be addressed
SE: I am sorry, we cannot comment about that at this time
- In regards to the Jan Bannings, how long did you know about the duping, and what were the criteria of banning verses suspension? Why were some players issues a temporary suspension while others banned
SE: I am sorry, we cannot give out details in regards to that matter
- With the recent scenario ACP, many players felt it was too short. Some players were able to beat it in a single day despite claims of being able to beat it in two weeks for hardcore players. Will the next scenario have more content?
SE: The add-on scenario is functioning as intended. As far as the next add-on scenario, we cannot comment on it at this time
- Can you give us a little hint about the new Avatars?
SE: We cannot comment at this time. Please look forward to them in the near future
- Tier IV ZNM's have lower droprates than the lower Tier ZNM's. Are there any plans to adjust the droprate?
SE: We cannot comment on that right now.
- Are there any plans to add Beastmaster Jug Pets/
SE: The person who is in charge of beastmaster is not here so we cannot answer that.
You know, Premier Sites can't even get exclusive interviews at Fan Fest. We had to share with other sites. It doesn't seem fair to be ragging on Fusionx so much because he couldn't get one with the devs.
Getting into contact with the dev team is so exponentially hard I don't even like to think about it anymore because it's so frustrating. Sure, I'd love to talk to them two or three times out of the year outside of Fan Fest and the Summit (which isn't even really a direct dev interview). Hell, I'd love ONE opportunity outside those events. We just don't get them. I wish we did, but wishing doesn't do anything.
The Community Team should be looked at almost as a separate entity. They can't speak on the dev team's behalf unless authorized, so just get over it already. It's not a dev interview.
This as an event meant to open communication between the community and the Community Team. I for one am more than happy to do what I can to improve the fun that people have at Fan Festivals. I think most if not all of the people that went would agree that live events are a ton of fun. Any improvements on them are welcome, at least by me.
If they sent an e-mail to SE asking to discuss AV stratagies and other things like salvage drops rates, they most likely would have been ignored like the countless other questions regarding these issues. I think alot of players want more communication and understanding between the playerbase and SE, so by me this seems to be a great way to start. Hey look, at least SE is making an effort here even it's about topics you might not find interesting, but it's a start. It shows that at least a few people at SE care and that's why they are doing this "Podcast Tour". Maybe next time they'll allow for some of the questions that they don't want this time.
Remember that this is the "Community team", I highly doubt the Dev team would go looking for podcast interviews before them. This could just be a start and depending on how these go, maybe the Dev team is just around the corner. Who knows?
I don't get why BG elitists have to put all this hate on. I've been waiting with baited breath to learn what the holiday events are going to be next year (possibly a zodic event? Perhaps a chance to turn into a small child of another race? Will Halloween be too spooky again? That's a balance fix for you right there, some of us cannot handle that level of scary!), and possibly what kind of car or cakes a community rep likes.
Oh wait? Car-Cake talk is banned from the list of topics? *drops to knees, throws hands up into the rain* FUCK YOU SQUARE! YOU ONLY GIVE TO TAKE AWAY!
I personally also wish we got a better interview team to get better info but I'd rather not comment on it anymore that what is already in this thread. If anything this is a golden opportunity to ask why the localization team fails so badly at translating the update notes.
Hmmm Community reads forums and blogs? They then go on to tell the devs what the community wants? So if they were reading this thread...
BG: "Don't interview those community team faggots!"
Com. Team: "Well fuck those guys."
Community team should already feel like shit that they only get to speak to the public when real answers don't get answered. SE is throwing them at us as a "well this will keep the dogs fed a little longer"
Pikko: It sucks that they won't disclose a lot of shit, but it's infinitely retarded they won't even let anyone fucking TALK about it either. As a premier site, you should not be happy with the bullshit they are giving you.
And no, giving us the D team does not show us SE cares. When we ask for something repeatedly and we get something else altogether, that doesn't show me they care that shows me they don't give a fuck and would rather jerk off to their pristine monsters and events. I hope someone from square reads this and knows the endgame community is pissed we are treated so poorly and get thrown info about what item I can lolz over and turn into a cow instead of a monster 3-4 years old that nobody has any info on and has yet to kill.
I'd like to know what kind of demented individuals that actually find seasonal events fun and entertaining after their first year in the game.
Hell, I don't think I was even close to being impressed to half of them on my first year, and that was way before I become the cynical bastard of an elvaan I am now.
But who knows, maybe I am the only demented individual here, and people actually give a damn about events for reason beyond making mint off price gouging eggs and candies
This is best thing from this thread so far. Seriousfor you.
We know it is not PFA or Alla's fault that SE refuses to disclose the information and answers we want, and it is true that you have a responsibility to your more casual customers who may not even know or care who Absolute Virtue is. However, I think you should consider all of the community and we should all work together towards forcing SE to answer to us, the paying customers. If that means boycotting their PR, so be it. We want real involvement from SE in the community, we want them to hear what we think and feel about the game we spend years of our conscious life playing. Even if they have to come on to the forums and say FUCK YOU! NO YOU DONT GET TO KILL AV! that would be better than the nearly absolute silence that seems to come from them.Originally Posted by Pikko

LOL, when I stopped playing FF for the first time it was because of the newyears festival. I was only like 6mo in and was like huh? Why the hell do I care about some inventory +1 item that will do absolutely nothing for me? Since then, and then coming back, the only even Ive done was Halloween, cause those stable collars and the cloak were actually kinda cool. Other than that, no events for me.
Couldn't stand the worthless waste of time that was LBR before, and definitely wouldn't bother to listen to this show. The first time I heard them talking about things like a limo ride and eating, that was it. Was that even them? Meh, maybe it was Pet Food Alpha. Not like I can tell the difference between the two.
That's shit reporting, nobody cares about that garbage, unless they're the type of person who rabidly follows LiveJournal and Twitter entries (in other words, a brain-dead wannabe socialite who grasps at whatever they can get their hands on). Add to that the abysmally boring personalities, and you have a show that's the dullest of the dull.
Given the quality of the posts here on BG, I don't really see any writing talent or passion. Maybe you guys should recruit some people who actually know how to talk on radio, and can write something interesting. (No, you don't necessarily need to pay for them. You can screen for volunteers.) Then you may get a bit more respect, at least in the fan community, if nothing else. After all, if people appreciate you guys, they'll be more sympathetic when you get stuck with a shitty option. Otherwise?
Well, people like me will say you're doing shit reporting.
Kuno talk go!
I honestly think SE seriously wants the vast majority of players who have been playing for years to just quit already, to make way for a new wave of players or the same people starting from scratch again.
Sadly most people feel like they've invested too much effort into the game to ever quit; and so cling to the small hope that SE will one day give them what they've wanted for years.
Fact. I think they're hoping the numbers will stay high enough until Rapture comes out, then they'll just ditch this game anyways.
Quick question.. does the community team actually play the game? It's pretty clear that the development team don't (You shouldn't need to ask why)... but does the community lot have multiple 75 jobs etc? You could always ask their non-professional opinion on certain aspects of the game if they play enough. That might be interesting at least to see the general opinions from the people who relay our concerns back to Japan etc.
I wonder how much it would cost to get the dev team to play?
Yes the members of the community team play, as of a year ago however, they were unable to discuss any specifics such as job levels etc but its always possible that has changed. When we do the episode for PFA we'll spend a little bit of time talking about their background, what they do for the community team etc. I'll be happy to ask about any in game info, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up for their own personal character info. One thing we did do previously was ask about favorite and least favorite content, I'm sure that may be something we can touch on briefly next week.
As far as the dev team playing...
Tanaka has a character and will go invisible and just watch people party and stuff, so he gets a first hand account of how people do stuff lol. Whether or not they actually test some stuff or do things once it's been put into the game... who knows.. sure doesn't seem like it sometimes.
