I can't agree with that. In several situations such as Dynamis, Einherjar, Salvage, and Nyzul Isle, Dragoons need to be throwing Angons on as many enemies as they can as often as they can. There's not much else to choose from in Dragoon group 2 merits, but personally I think Empathy is underrated by most. Being able to give your Wvyern Stoneskin and Shell really helps keep it alive.

Maybe somewhere else in the guide, but looking at the TP Body section it says Aurum > Homam if you have high ACC.

G-Slinger, can you run a parse using Sword Strap v Pole grip? If I remember correctly, you're one of the few DRGs with access to the rarest pieces needed to try this out (Aurum Body/Vork).

I guess I should reword that TP body section but I can't really be bothered, would appreciate it if someone else can do it for me and I will copy and paste edit it in. I'm happy with leaving Pole Strap as it is in the guide until shown a parse where it is better, also if it's only under Haste, Hasso, Double March and full Haste gear I'm not fussed.

to get your pDIF range, you must now take your cRatio (labelled "Atk/Def Ratio" here) and follow it up to see the range of values you will have in pDIF, where our example of 1.25 cRatio would give a pDIF of any 2 decimal placed number (1.50, 1.51, 1.53 etc)
between 1 and 1.5 with roughly an equal frequency on all, meaning in 1,000.000 hits you would see very close to 20,000 of each pDIF number occur
I don't think the distribution of hits between lower value and max value is uniform, which you can verify by using offesnse > details with kparser. Some values are more frequent than others and extreme values are less frequent. It seems more gaussian-type than uniform.

ugh not sure these days, it was different before all the pDIF patches and it could be tbh, can someone give proof please?

The rest of the guide is pretty nice just I had an issue with that one point you made but yeah as someone else said, This should be retitled "How to be a full DD DRG" seeing as you fully ignored the /mage aspect of the job.
Since Starr said it is a DMG ONRY guide, deep breathing wont do that much and actually empathy would be the best 5/5 so when you're in a brdx2 or brd-cor pty getting haste. You can give your wyvern all rolls and songs and haste (assumign you click off protect/shell). Which will buff your DOT when you add your wyvern significantly.

I would say in a merit pty would want at least 3/5 angon (1 min) for the occasional Wivre-Lurker-Infiltrator, Deep breathing could help for the last 2 merit slots. Anything bigger then merit mobs 5/5 angon.

Basically, it seems like it's worth it if you can pull it off, just be sure you're not sacrificing anything to do it.
quick question, how much store TP would you need to maintain 6-hit? id assuming gear terms it would be Aurum+V.Fork+rajas+brutal but what exact value of store-tp is that including /sam?

Yeah I would really argue for 5/5 angon for high HP mobs like some in Einherjar and some burns that last a little longer like Sarameya with no 2hrs.

Do you use a Jump set? aka stacking on vit/atk/af, if you do post your set up please ^^

Also, would you use 1 single macro for it or just hit a "jump set" macro then "jump" macrothen "TP set" macro.

I've recently taken out my drg from storage since i got my shiney neuvo body. :3

    You need sTP+31 I believe.

Edit: I agree with Starr on the 5/5 Angon. There are many cases where full Angon is beneficial. Only in merit and merit-like situations will the mob fall before Angon wears off. For example, in Einherjar, the mobs tend to have more HP (As mentioned earlier), and sometimes ridiculous defense/status ailments that prolong individual battles. In addition, with full Angon merits, a 2 DRG can full-time DEF down any mob.

Personally I use have TP gear, Accuracy TP gear (for Lurkers and shit), WS gear and WS Accuracy gear and I just use the WS gear sets to Jump in because it's good enough.

I have 2 seperate macro sets, one for Drakes and one for Penta above each other tho so I can switch between each other easy.

I spam Angons a lot but honestly in Dynamis if a mob is lasting longer then the full duration of 5/5 Angon then you've got a problem. The rest of your point I can agree with.

Empathy is pretty nice also but I chose to cap deep breathing and then added only two levels to Angon. It's worked out pretty damn good for me.

No amount of meriting will allow you to throw more than 1 Angon every 3 mins... I'm sure you just overlooked it in your hastiness but every merit increases duration not recast.

i personally wouldnt put 5/5 just because of the fact that i use my drg for various things and i need merits elsewhere , but there are people who don't have /mage or do any solo work outside being a melee drg.

low-man salvage (chariots specifically) or any low-manned timed fight cutting it close. i was also that vytra zerg that ant pulled together via shouting in wg lol and we went through 2 full angons

I would fully concur with this if I wasn't made to go MNK to Salvage and tank everything so honestly capped Angon serves no purpose for me whatsoever. If you're a DRG in Salvage then I consider you a lucky bastard because I'm either MNK RDM or THF in there and never DRG.

2/5 Angon suits me just fine in Dynamis or Einherjar.

Just to be clear: I'm a solo DRG most of the time so capped Deep Breathing suits me much more then Angon fully capped.

if I had thf I would probably end up stuck on that lol, I am on drg, sam, or mnk depending on run/set-up usually unless it's frogs then gogo blu, should try to concinvce group to let you dragoon some, unless you're the only mnk, or your group stuck in '05 and think mnk only DD good at salvage[lol].

I'm one of the only 2 MNKs in our group with a Black Belt and solid gear overall so I doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon. :<

Monks aren't that amazing in Salvage anymore. You get 2 weapons at the start now, and any 2-handed weapon will feed less TP to things you don't want to give it to, like gears, chariots and poroggos, unless you have a Corsair giving you Monk's Roll.

I think it's not so much as what job is super awesome in Salvage as we've been doing our static for so long that we all go in with just what we've done since the start. It's more or less "If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it" attitude most of us have.

I agree with this, though I think one mnk + solid two hander best for boss generally, since 5/5 penace from one mnk is on 5/9 of times anyways besides AR cause Mortal Rev sucks.
