Minor mistakes/spelling/formatting wise without going super proof nazi:
    • "With a 492 delay polearm it takes 26 tptal Store TP15 Store TP from SAM sub job, 5 from Rajas that you will full time, 1 from Brutal which you will full time then an additional 2 from elsewhere which can be either Valyrie's Fork (3), White Tathlum (2), Askar Korazin (5) or Aurum Cuirass ( because as I will soon show you, all your other slots will be spoken for if you aim for the ideal as you should." This whole sentence is a little fucked, you also mention later that you would never use any Ammo other than Black Tathlum or Tiphia Sting which unless I missed it fails to explain in what situation you would use White Tathlum
    • Replace all instances of Clentine with Cletine
    • Replace all instances of Sumarry with Summary
    • Replace all instances of Valyrie's with Valkyrie's
    • Replace all instances of Corrozza with Corazza
    • Check your 's
    • Capitalize instances of ok
    • Colorize and indent and space out your formulas, it's not fun to read them squashed into the middle of a sentence
    • For subsections within an underlined/bolded section use bullet points and/or indents and/or italics
    • This guide is a great idea and I enjoyed reading it because I love my DRG but it would help more people if all, or at least the Melee Damage wut, section/s had a tldr; as some people are not as much lazy as they are ADD or math deficient

Earrings: Minuet never, even if you have Minuets 99% of the time you're on DRG?

    Good job, nice read!

Minuet Earring is the second best ear2 next to Hollow Earring for pretty much any melee that doesn't get a good DM earring.

    # Colorize and indent and space out your formulas, it's not fun to read them squashed into the middle of a sentence
THIS IS BG, THIS IS NOT NOTEPAD2 GAWD

    Good point though.

I like how Tainted bitches about the math section then goes on to say Foragers > Cuchulain. I think the guide is shaping up pretty nicely though.

    But seriously, BG has color?

Hard to justify 5/5 Angon really. I did 3 angon,2empathy,5DeepBreathing. Having a 720 breath on a 5 minute timer is a really nice boon after a strong WS. Almost anything you angon endgame is gonna die in 60 seconds, if not, then you're probably dead or going to wipe/time out after that. Most Einherjar/Nyzul/Dynamis/Limbus things are going to die within a Level 3 Angon's 60 second duration window.

I couldn't disagree more, but I guess it really is personal preference. If you do a lot of lowman / soloing, I can imagine deep breathing is really useful compared to angon.

However, most endgame mobs do not die within 60 seconds of a level 3 angon, you're being delusional/wildly optimistic if you think that. I agree that throw away mobs in Nyzul/Dynamis/Limbus will be dead in 60 seconds, but anything harder than that and having your angon capped is extremely handy (especially if you have 2 drgs with it capped, then you have a full-time coverage rotation).

Anyway, like I said, it really comes down to personal preference / what your LS does, but it is not hard to justify 5/5 angon by any stretch of the imagination.

PS. /nin is so, so retarded unless you're dealing with mobs with extreme AOE (nothing you'd be meriting on). /sam is superior in every other way. You're talking about a job with the ability to lose hate on command, if /sam isn't enough defense your dragoons need to learn when and how to use their jumps.

Which is why capped Angon is worthless to me.

I do have to agree with this as well. As much as I kill shit in Dynamis, Einherjar and Nyzul Isle with my DRG, capped Angon would be a total waste of merits. I love the capped timer on Deep Breathing because it's made for some fun Fafnirs watching the Wyvern Magic Burst for a decent amount on a Light Skillchain.

Outside of your points tho, The Pros and Cons of maxed Angon has no effect on me personally because I'll never have to worry about needing it for anything outside of Zerging.

Anyway, like I said, it really comes down to personal preference / what your LS does, but it is not hard to justify 5/5 angon by any stretch of the imagination.
If I was allowed to come DRG for most events then I might consider 5/5 Angon but seeing as I /mage a lot on my own DRG then Deep Breathing is a superior choice for me.

I've been asked many many many times to sub nin to birds which I outright fucking hate doing. I could /war or /sam but I prefer /whm on birds because it sure as shit doesn't hurt my damage.

    P.S. /nin makes me emo

Smart Grenade really isn't a smart choice. It NPCs for 10k and the superior option is only like 180k.

Not for shit, this guide isn't aimed at people who are too cheap to pay 200k for stuff like Tiphia sting.

I'm gonna take Gungnir, Ryunohige, Ninurta's Sash and Mars' Ring out cus if you have any of them I'd hope you don't need the guide anyway lol.

Smart Grenade is a middle piece for when you're saving up to buy a Tiphia Sting.

After level 60 on your first job there's no excuse not to have good DRG gear. You can do ISNM60 which has pretty decent drops. You can do BCNM60, which you should save up seals for anyway. Jungle Boogymen is awesome gil, over 3 runs or so (you'll have 180 seals, no problem) you'll end up with a couple of expensive torques. Not expecting PCC or your SH to be HQed, but Spectacles/Tiphia Sting/Assault Earring/SH (+1 when lucky on BCNMs) at least.

I'd prefer barone(or conte if you can get it) legs and body for jump tp.

Except if you're using a true 6hit build the extra TP is wasted and doesn't help you get to 100 any quicker so that extra TP is moot. Unless you're building a store TP set around it, which is a pretty dumb idea, but to each his own. If you're meaning just for a few extra points of damage on WS, sure, I guess. I'd rather have more accurate jumps.

I didn't really mean either so much. It's just some weird OCD thing.

Last I recall /NIN on Odin is pointless since all but one of his attacks are non-physical AoE, and the one that is AoE occurs exactly 3x during the battle. Wing 2 easily justifies /NIN when you consider mobs such as Dragons/Dahaks and Orobon.

Edit: Leave the Angon portion of the post as 5/5 since it's a guide for "main" DRGs. People with other classes should have enough experience to know whether they will need the extra two merits.
