I think i just found a nice little glitch at the Vikki and Vance casino. After winning 800 vikki and vance chips in Blackjack, I went to cash out. I turned in my chips and got 800 caps, but it keeps letting me turn in the same 800 vikki and vance chips over and over again. Haven't been to any other Casinos yet, but don't think that's suppose to happen.
*edit* in the span of 15 minutes of spamming this I now have 1,000,000+ caps. This is the only glitch that has affected my game thus far.
I found a glitch where I attacked Caesar and suddenly I was at the PS3 dashboard.
I miss games that came out on consoles before they could be patched. If the game was jacked up piece of shit then no matter how good the game it would never sell, developers were forced to QC on their games. If developers back then released such a glitched POS and wanted to actually sell it they would have to recall it all and redistribute and there goes any profit. Now they just seem to release a game with a steaming pile of glitches and let the buyers find all the glitches for them and eliminate the cost of having any testing. Missin the good old days.
I know we've got a member on these boards that works for Obsidian, and no disrespect to him, but this is the stuff I have grown used to expect from them now. We'll see how they handle DUngeon Siege 3. At least they did a patch within the week to fix some of the issues.
Fuck this nonsense. I'm trying to support the NCR, and I have the first Hoover Dam quest from the top commander there. I go to look at what the Omertas are doing, but I CAN'T REPORT THE TRUTH, my only option is to lie about what they're doing. I finish the Omerta mission, lose rep in the strip, and nothing else happens after that. If I kill any of the leaders (or the top Omerta leader,) I just fail the Omerta mission and still have to lie.

What is this bullshit.

Not sure if any of you have seen this or not...
As you may have seen, we released a patch over Steam for PC users last night. While we didn’t release a full changelist, the patch contains quest and scripting fixes. It’s not a minor hotfix, it contains over 200 fixes in all. We are in the final stages of testing this update on both 360 and PS3 and we hope to have them out to users very soon.
We are also pleased to say that we have just released a second fix for PC users to address the autosave and quicksave issues that some people were encountering. That particular issue was never seen prior to release and it was extremely difficult to reproduce reliably, even after the game had launched. In order to fix this problem we have had to disable Steam Cloud functionality. It has been turned off, and we won't turn it back on until we're absolutely sure it will not cause any more problems. Please restart your Steam client to make sure you get the update.
We are also working directly with hardware manufacturers to improve performance for certain video cards. This is a driver issue, and not directly related to the game.
On consoles, we are aware that a small group of 360 users are seeing a DLC warning which is preventing you from loading save games. We are absolutely looking into this bug now, along with other reports of save game corruption. It is our highest priority right now that we find out what is causing it. In the meantime, we recommend you save often, and revert to an older save if this occurs.
As far as general memory and instability, you should see an improvement once the patch goes live, but we are continuing to work on this based on user feedback.
We want everyone to know that we are monitoring the forums and cataloging every single issue we see reported. We’re reading forum posts, we’re checking Twitter, and we’re reading Facebook comments. We aren’t able to reply to most threads, but we’re listening. If we see an issue, we have people here trying to reproduce it so we can fix it.
While there are definitely legitimate issues out there, we wanted to take a moment to address a couple of things that have been reported as “bugs.”
The now infamous Doc Mitchell video, while very funny (and horrifying) was not a bug. Unfortunately during our launch day, there was a brief window where Steam was pushing out corrupt or incorrect files. In the event that a user wound up with a corrupt meshes.bsa file, they would get that error. It was easily (and instantly) corrected by simply re-validating your files with Steam. At most, a handful of people ever saw that issue, and even then, only for a moment before fixing it.
We have seen forum posts where people are claiming they are not getting all of their perks. Again, this is not a bug. In Fallout: New Vegas, you receive perks every other level, not every level as you do in Fallout 3.
And finally, a quick tip: Be aware of your faction status before assuming the game is broken. Factions will react very strongly to you based on your current armor. If you’re wearing Powder Ganger or Caesar’s Legion armor, you will be shot on sight by the NCR (and vice versa). Also note that there are groups of renegade Powder Gangers (known simply as “Escaped Convicts”) who will shoot you regardless of your faction status.
Please post any issues you are having to our forums and we’ll do our best to fix them as quickly as possible.
Thanks,
The Fallout: New Vegas Teams at Obsidian and Bethesda
I am enjoying the game thus far, I havent encountered any of the reported glitches, but I will have to say, not liking taking damage during V.A.T.S.
This sucks. Went in a Casino with Boone. Now I have his weapon in my inventory which I can't trade back to him, you can't use it because you have no ammo... basically SOL. Hopefully they patch it so I can give his weapon back....
No. No. No. No. Fuck that noise.
Actual end-game spoilers, don't click this one unless you've beaten it, long rant/story too.

I'm in the process of backtracking a save so I can split off and just help NCR only. Maybe that won't be so rage inducing since I really like them. Also it'll be a long-haul game at that point. Apparently each little town has an impact on what goes on at the final battle. 19 hours in and that was mostly the main quest and fucking around at Helios One. (Which also turned out to be a disappointment.)

(I cheated and gave myself the location marks, so that cut down playtime QUITE a bit along with following the main quest only. I skipped over so much it's not funny. So don't freak out about my 19 hour playtime. I'm expecting this'll be another 100+hour game like FO3 was in the end.)
So I ended up caving and picked this up for the PS3. I don't mind the VATS nerf because it was way too overpowered in fallout 3, but did they make it so you can't reset challenges anymore? I saved before a 20/25 speech challenge and failed 5+ times before just leaving. Really loving the game so far, but I haven't experienced any game breaking glitches so far (although the Primm sheriff did get stuck in the casino roof, but I could still talk to him). The only thing bumming me out is that scrolling through weapon lists, it looks like they skimped on unique small guns, but at least they really expanded on unarmed and melee weapons which were fairly lacking in fallout 3. I'll probably end up doing melee on my second playthrough since you can't really specialize in more than 1 area now that you have access to 15 perks instead of 30.
installed the new patch on 360 and the game just took twice as long to load and still froze when I repaired my armor. I'm going to just start the whole game over again and hope for the best. Man this game is such fucking trash
First thing I'm maxing when I finally make a chara on my brother's copy is speech.
Ah, I thought it meant that it was tiered now like lockpick or science skills.
Not overly worried about it since I have over a million caps, but went to exchange my Ultra-Luxe chips for Legion money. Took the chips, but received nothing; Same thing happens for NCR Money. Payout in caps seems to work though.
