So I looked this up, and apparently the only difference between this and regular off-the-shelf stuff in the US is that it uses sugar instead of syrup.

How does it taste like shit? Soda made with real sugar is fucking awesome (and isn't a healthy drink, either). Your tastebuds are broken.

Tastes too thin, gives you horrible aftertaste/breath compared to HFCS-based drinks. And might I add, it adds 50 cents a can extra where I live for the 8 weeks they are debuting it. Not sure if thats the case elsewhere.

Only soft drink I can I really like with sugar that isn't in the states is Fanta Orange/Grape. Either Italian or Brasilian blends.
