Nobody was asking for you guys to choke responses of out the community jfc. We want you to actually NOT take square-enix penis and say "we want the dev team to actually answer shit because it's what the players want." SE basically poked their penis through their boxer hole and told you to suck it, and instead of saying "I'd rather have chocolate" you said "well, this is the best I'll be able to eat so w/e".
You said new questions should be asked because square will never come out of the dark, yet here you are in this thread wanting to break the silence. Hypocrite is too soft a word to use here. I say you care about this issue because it has directly affected your gameplay aka the people you do things will. You don't give 2 shits about the other problems SE refuses to talk about because you simply don't do them.
that wasn't what you were arguing but ok. I agree they should have said shit in the update notes, but they didn't. Blm doesn't need a buff because it's still so useful basically everywhere. Schs can't do their magic damage, and neither can rdms. Until there stops being parties of blms at tiamat, blm does not need an update because it will break them to oblivion.
Shut up I want my Thunder V let me dream.
RDMs get parties.that wasn't what you were arguing but ok.
SCHs get parties.
BLMs get told to fuck themselves past 37.....if your lucky.
Now im sure some people like soloing to 75 but as a game catered to party play the least SE could do is you know... fix the obvious imbalance during party play.
BLM has lots of use at 75 but who cares if the new blood cant get to it? You can easily take RDM and SCH to 75 without any hassle whatsoever but you suit up BLM and suddenly its Solo Fantasy XI.
I pretty much believe this nerf was done to play up the enspell II line but to say BLM has no problems because they have endgame use is like saying DNC has no problems even though it has very few practical endgame applications while being good in EXP.
Both jobs have strengths and both have some very obvious problems.
I guess it depends on your perspective but I never really cared about how jobs performed in exp. The whole reason you level a job is so you can use it for non-exp things (typically). I solo'd my blm from 50 - 70 and never really had a problem with doing that. There was never any reason to have a mob slept for longer than 20 seconds anyways. This change didn't affect blm in full pt situations at all either, so I really don't know why we are talking about this, other than merits I guess? But even then, not much harder and will still get same exp or so.
Am I wrong in saying your complaint isn't related to this change?
You are correct, this doesn't have to do with exp. This has to do with
SE shitting on a job that's already in the shit pile. It was a stupid and unneeded nerf.
It's a retarded nerf considering the already random nature of enfeebling skill on any mob worth a damn. Now they make it so it's just as retarded on bunnies outside San d'Oria.
I dare people to cancel their ID for 1 month as a means of showing player resolve. I know I am.
The point is that SE has been shitting on some jobs for a while now. RDM already had reduced needs for enfeebles and this just added fuel to the fire. BLM already had its own problems and again SE decides to just shit all over the job instead of applying the patches players want. BRD one could argue needed a slight nerf (the whole backdoor /blm Elegy was always shaky) but my point was moreso that they consistently attack the things players like instead of fixing what needs to be fixed.
If they intended to change enfeebling to make enspells more useful, the least they could have done was announce that back when players got the RDM patch notes but it seems like you already agree with that.
Almost no content in this game was designed to be solo-able. Things like Lv.75 ENMs and such being solo'd by only 1~2 jobs out of 20 is obviously a complex and unforseen design flaw that they have now begun to fix. HNM fighting has also become more of a danger, which it should be. Yeah yeah I am biased because I'm not a BLM. I am biased because the jobs I have found fun aren't capable of soloing much at all. Maybe, one day, BLM will eventually join the club.
Dear SE: Just because the expansion lets you travel back in time and alter the present does not mean you can suddenly change the way magic works in the game and expect us to believe it to have been that way forever.
Nidhogg resisting sleep more - good
Ele seal elegy nerf - cool
Diremites in einherjar being immune to sleepga after 3 casts - why?
lol, crowd control
Oh well, this thread already went to hell on page 1.
I'm gonna post something anyway:
SE adjusts fundamental game mechanics that change the way strategies/jobs (no it's not only about BLM)/mobs have worked for like 7 years now.
As if that isn't strange enough, they don't even mention the fact in the corresponding version update.
To me it seems that whoever is in charge of job/battle adjustments is slightly overstrained or just can't see the bigger picture anymore when doing those changes. But speculations aside, not communicating fundamental changes in gameplay with the playerbase just fits in the picture of a Dev. team that's out of touch with their customers.
Not that it is something new...
Dear BG:
Your words fall on deaf ears.
That is all.
Wait, people actually bring BLM's to sky anymore?
Oh right, Need one for D2. Nvm my bad.
You guys moan and complain about SE screwing us over; for once take matters into your own hands and show SE who really controls their profits.
Not to mean any offense to Japanese but, I must say the way their culture works from what I've read is a very closed hush hush type of method. That explains how they do what they want without consultation or anything, and if they did make mistakes, it is very shameful for their culture to admit faults so they do it behind our backs. If this was a North American or Europe company, it would be much different.
Regardless of how advanced most of Asia is (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan) and where most cool new gadgets come from, they are obviously holding too much to old fashioned customs and out of touch with what most of the world does.
