I rang to ask if I could change the delivery address, as I have moved recently.

They said "No its already in transit" so I ask when it would be arriving, they said what I put in my original post.

So one thing is pretty sure... It has left them (as I couldn't change my address), but they could have been lying.

I dont execpt mine to arroive for another two weeks after orginal date. considering they said 14 days I'd assume working days exculding weekends. Most compaines say XX days but mean XX working days. Plus being beside the uk I'd expect it to arrive later then stated.

I may be a strange one - but I expect companies to at least attempt to keep to what they promise, I expect them to deliver the services I pay for and I expect them to do so with a decent attitude toward customer service. Perhaps I'm wrong here - but I don't think so.

no i am well aware of how the world and uk works we are one of the last countrys(modern countrys) to get the stuff be it films games w/e and we always end up paying more for our shit too. but when i am told that i have paid for something and it will arrive on xx date to ring up and be told "no actually it wont be there for another week or more i just cant say for sure"..

i think is very piss poor way to work, regardless of if it cost 7pence 7 pounds or 70 thousand pounds and in all fairness this shit aint no 1 year waiting list 300 only made select item, its just some random piece of electronics probably mass prodcued by the rmt players who were all put out of jobs by SE over the last few years with their bannings.

i personaly dont blame any postal service for the delays just SE itself for poor marketing management and general customer service, i would have gladly paid a premium rate for a next day or same week etc delivery service but that wasnt offered just the crap we have here now.

i has paid my monies the same time and maybe even before(i was all done a few hours after they came on sale...which was another debacle on SE pol page..error's..) everyone else no matter what nation i at least expect to recive my item around the same time... anyway my acc's are canceld from end othis month and i really expect the token to come after the end of the month now which would really be funny.

obviously SE has never heard of the saying...

Erm yeah, I think in an area that is as fragmented as Europe it would be common sense to think that sending our tokens wouldn't be as painless as one of the more united countries like USA and Japan, especially when they're not sure just how many people will be buying them. When their profit margins probably aren't anything substantial with the token costing 10e/8 pounds with shipping included they're not going to make/order many more tokens than necessary.

I also think that the way they're handling it now is better than if we had no choice but to pay for our shipment fees. That's what SE must've thought too, "who's in such a need for the token that he can't wait 2~ weeks for it to arrive and cancel's his accounts because of it?"

Also the "it's 14 business days"-excuse is completely valid. Well, that's what I expected it to be anyway, because that's what it has always been (for everything I've ordered from EU/US).

I live in Spain, my hopes are looking at the beginning of June at the earliest. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if we got it way later than you lot in the UK.

But yea, this is pure bullshit.

the email from SE clearly states the following..

"The Security Token will be delivered within two weeks of the purchase date to the address provided.
If you have not received the Square Enix Security Token after two weeks, please contact the PlayOnline Information Center with the PlayOnline ID and Order Number listed above. When calling, please be aware that the PlayOnline Information Center can only assist the individual the account is registered to."


now perhaps SE should have just worded the message like this...

"The Security Token will be delivered within (insert a stupidly large random number here) working days of the purchase date to the address provided.
If you have not received the Square Enix Security Token after (insert a stupidly large random number here) working days, please contact the PlayOnline Information Center with the PlayOnline ID and Order Number listed above. When calling, please be aware that the PlayOnline Information Center can only assist the individual the account is registered to.
Here is your code to activate your mog satchel please input this when talking to xxx NPC in xxx zone"

now if it was that last part in the message i really dont think many people would give a shit about the long the delivery date was..well there would still be some people upset about the security issues but i be most people would be happy for there extra spaces which imo is why so many people ordered this and why so many people inc me are a tad annoyed over the issue here

SE shouldn't have worded it how they did for orders outside of the States if they weren't going to be able to deliver (rather than backpedalling now because that just makes them look as slimy as if they were a contestant on The Apprentice). They should have worded it as "14 working days" or even "three weeks" and then when things arrived earlier than that - people would be thinking "wow it arrived a week earlier than expected - what great customer service that is".

I didn't expect mine to arrive within 2 weeks to be honest considering the holiday in the middle - but I do get pissed off when people in the States have been running around with a substantial advantage over the EU players (and Canada etc - haven't forgotten you) for the best part of a week now and SE gives their usual lack of a shit for Europe. They could have made a fairly good initial estimate of the number of orders likely over here - and at least shipped SOME tokens to the continent in advance if the will to deliver customer service was there - but it isn't, it's the classic SE assumption that their farts smell like roses and we should be grateful for them deigning to deal with us on their own terms. In many ways they're like a slightly crappy small business from the 1980s or something in terms of how they view their paying customers.
