There was another country a while back that thought everyone should believe the exact same thing too, run by that dude with the mustache.

The irony in her answers. My God, my country, my family, etc. Bitch, you're in a beauty pageant... how biblical can you be? Perez is a retard and that girl is equally as retarded.

I gotta side with the dumb bitch (Ms. CA not perez) on this one. She gave an unpopular answer, although you couldn't tell from the audience cheers, even though she had to know she would get criticized for it. She stood up for her opinions and beliefs. I respect that more than some stupid blogger that draws cumbubbles on celebrities.

I interpreted it as people can choose what side the gay marriage argument they want to be on and that's awesome. I still don't believe in gay marriage but that's just my opinion. It wasn't well articulated though.
As for the people saying gays should be as flamboyant as they want. my opinion is if a straight person can get arrested or at least frowned upon doing something in public then homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to either. If you can play in da butt then straight people should have the right to play an uncensored version of "random explicit rap song" about sex in public. If gay people can run around looking like strippers in a gay pride parade then goddammit this memorial day I want to see wet t shirts and thongs on the women this next memorial day parade! Don't worry ladies. the women will be accompanied by men chiseled from marble like Greek gods with coconut oils on top.

So to answer.. people being overly flamboyant is annoying. While lower level catcalls might be "tolerated" by society from straight men the level of flamboyant I'm thinking of would be responded to via a can of mace if a straight guy attempted the equivalent on a woman.

I just reread the transcript of the busted why can't so many Americans find the USA on a world map answer that girl gave a couple years ago... if that got more than 0/10, then Ms. CA certainly got gipped by Perez Hilton.
Miss Teen USA contestant tries to explain herself - TODAY People
Technically, Miss Teen USA isn't the Miss America pageant so I'm sure Hilton could argue higher standards...but as other have said, Hilton was put on there for ratings (they had to know he'd end up asking a question/doing something that would cause controversy) and he did his dirty work which got the pageant publicity.
Yeah, her answer wasn't great, yeah his overreaction is stupid and uncalled for and expected, but it's a beauty contest, meh. It's not like Perez Hilton is on the Supreme Court. Though that could be ... funny... Fox's next reality show! Idiot Windbags on a Bench! (don't take my sarcasm the wrong way, I personally think all adult humans should be able to get married and have the same rights, regardless of orientation and that Ms. CA's answer was sub-standard and I'd have not voted her winner based on that answer either.)

Do all the judges cast a vote? Kinda sucks that one judge was the deal breaker, but if each judge gave her a < 6/10 vote, along with his 0/10, then she fucked up.

I read a lot of stories on this and I was watching all the videos on Perez's website, and I can see why he gave her a zero.

The way I see it, she completely avoided the question. She mentioned nothing about the political side of the issue. She basically came out and said, I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Perez has said that if she said something along the lines of, "The way our country is built, the states each have their own laws and they can vote the way that they want to.", etc... He would have given her a great score. Instead, she completely avoided the issue regarding the question he asked.

That's a valid point, her answer did suck for that reason, but 0/10 seems a little harsh, given that most beauty pageant contestant answers I've heard (not that I have watched more than one?) on the news are vapid non-answers anyways... how surprised could the judges be by an evasive answer or a non-answer. Don't you get 10 points for putting your name on the test?

There is not a single thing a straight person can get arrested for that can be directly compared to a gay man being overly flamboyant. I hate guys like that too, but your logic is completely fucked up here. There is no law against being annoying.

As far as gay guys dressed like strippers, if they're exposing genitalia I imagine they should be arrested. If not, well... have you been to a beach lately? The percentage of bare skin that's covered up can get pretty low sometimes, whether on men or women.

And wtf are you even talking about comparing being flamboyant to being so aggressive towards a woman that you deserve to be maced? Another absolutely off-base comparison. Some guy lisping and waving his hand around is not the same thing as cornering a woman in an alley and talking dirty to her or some shit.

she said in her answer "the great thing about this country is the people can choose which they want." That's the same thing you said just a lot less eloquent.

lisping and waving a hand around isn't overly flamboyant. Lisping is a case of who teh fuck cares or "wtf is he even saying?" if you cant understand the stupid accent. Straight men can do the exact same thing if they so felt like it. Or some some tim the tool man grunt. If i somehow didn't point it out I'm talking only about the EXTREME cases which usually involves the violation of one's personal space.
Also. beaches don't count. Considering that the minimum amount of clothing that that a person can wear at a beach legally depending on area is zero thanks to nude beaches they really cant be used to define acceptable clothing levels in somethign as simple as a parade. And since when were only straight people allowed on a beach? Gay people are just as able to run around in a thong and pretend to be from Baywatch.
going back to the last line you said again. im ot comparing lisping to cornering a woman and talking to her in an alley. I'm comparing a guy saying that he'd love to shove it up your ass and hear you squeak like johnny depp to another man(whom had already informed the gay man that he was not interested) vs a man saying something similar to a woman. So for the woman vs man example I'd have the man say (after the woman indicates she isn't single or interested) something like "how about I handcuff you to to the bed and fuck you instead?"

Hit on me? Eh np. I'm just as likely to randomly hit on a lesbian and be mistaken. That's fine. Keep on hitting on me? That gets into the realm of damned annoying as it would for the lesbian i accidentally hit on. Bonus points for describing various sexual acts you want to do involving a person while they're in earshot after you got rejected.
EDIT: back to the stripper part. if gay men pranced around in thier underwear at a gay pride parade it would be "woohoo! good for them!". If at a" mainstream" parade they had women and men in sexually suggestive positions/outfits we'd be hearing bitching and public outcry over it in many states. It's not equality if both sides cant get away with it. granted there are the West Indian parades which come damned close so I acknowledge that the running around like strippers part was a bad point. I'm not sure if those ones are exceptions or prove the rules personally since the thanksgiving day parades and whatnot cant get away with the same thing.

Not to kill a political topic with math, but...

Doesn't nearly every reputable contest that involves subjective judging (Olympic events like gymnastics for example) throw out the best and worst scores from the judge panel? I know it varies from event to event, but details aside I thought almost everyone at least throws out the best and worst to eliminate possible outliers in negative/positive bias. If her jumbled response was truly that horrific for a beauty contest then the other judges' scores would have reflected this. Throwing out best/worst scores is always going to be the best way to remove subjective bias when judging a subjective event.

He didn't give her a zero because she avoided the answer or because she stated her beliefs.

He gave her a zero for not agreeing with him. End of story.

The people can't choose, though. There are only 4 states where people can choose. As a resident of California it should be painfully obvious to her that people can't choose. His question was regarding state legislation, and she didn't even mention it.

No. His question was "LOL IM GAY, DO YOU LOVE ME? SHOULDNT THE WORLD BE FILLED WITH ME? "

He wanted to hear his own opinion come out of her mouth and for the whole 92 ppl who actually watch these pageants to hear. The girl got a wtfQuestion and gave the best answer she could without trying to (inevitably) offend someone. She picked the right answer, offend the douche bag noone cares about, and stick with what she believes.
