It's the double standards that I dislike the most honestly which I've pointed out before. Another example of this same situation with only the gender/orientation changed is the fact that straight guys tend to have a slight obsession with lesbians. Some stupid college kid insisting on convincing said lesbians to have a threesome that want nothing to do with him is considered a dumbass while the lesbians are not called heterophobic for saying no. Oh and yeah. Flamboyant was probably a bad word to use I guess. Situations where straight people get the benefits from double standards are problems too but two wrongs dont make a right hence they really should either lose the benefits they have over a homosexual or give the homosexual more rights which would result in equality on that topic.

Fair enough. I may have been a little harsh in my reply. For what it's worth, I don't think a guy's homophobic if he won't let me blow him Any fag who thinks that way is a fag I'm not friends with.

See, most men that are homosexual are really cool people. Why is it the few who act like the ones described on this page that make gay people look bad?

Completely unrelated note - I just clicked the link in OP, and seeing that gorilla in a wife beater, known as perez hilton... was disgusting. He needs to lose some weight before continuing with his "Im gay ill do wut i want" thing.

Marriage itself is generally a religious ceremony. What does that statement mean? It means that thanks to the separation of church and state the state shouldn't have ANY right to marry ANYONE(yes including the straight people) or declare whom is fit/unfit to wed. now married people get special privileges from being married. My solution? Get rid of that. You don't get legal privileges from having a barmitzvah(i know I must have jacked the spelling wrong somehow) so why should a different religious ceremony be special?

because it's not a religious ceremony now that the state sponsors it.

At this point the only relationship between the legal marriage and religious marriage is the name. They are not the same thing they are not connected and they should not be. I agree change the name if you want I don't care but just change it for everyone if you are changing it in the legal sense.

Marriage may generally be a religious ceremony but by no means does it have to be. And it isn't always.

I thought people were entitled to their own opinion and she gave her's right? Why does this have to be a problem because of this thing's... life style.

Then they need to change the name and keep religion from having any influence on it. I was going to post something similar to this but I couldn't think of a proper way to articulate it at the time. The fact that it has the same name automatically makes Christians assume it's a religious ceremony which is what's causing all their bitching atm.(other than the ones that are just really anti gay)If they don't stop it's going to cause confusion forever. I wonder what would happen if it got pointed out to the anti gay evangelicas that the passage from where they get thier "abombinaton" rhetoric has a pretty high chance(cant be 100% certain without time travel) of referencing the whole man lying with anther man to be concerning the roman practice of raping defeated soldiers.( I'm presuming the living ones but those romans did fuck everything)

I've noticed that christians have a hard time comprehending how the same word can have different meanings.

It is a theory. But until it's proven wrong by god/aliens/agents from the matrix coming down and laughing at us for falling for the dinosaur bones they left from the previous incarnation of the universe you're an idiot for thinking it to be invalid. As well as thinking creationism is perfectly accurate or that the lord xenu is responsible for everything.

WeHo is only 34k people, which is probably why you haven't seen it in lists, but it's the most concentrated gay you've ever seen for an entire city. 41% of the entire population is gay or bisexual men alone - they even went out of the way to give it the 90069 zip code, out of order so the gays could get the coveted 69.

    And I'm not even joking.

didn't studies show that animals(and human beings) have a 30~33% chance of being gay anyway? so really 41% isn't THAT big an increase.

not a thing wrong with what she said, i think it should be man + woman. the judge retarded for crisitising her for politely giving her opinion on a controversial topic when the question was pushed on her.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Not gonna lie, I found the way she answered the question to be pretty retarded. The whole point of Miss USA is supposed to be about representing the "best" looking/acting/SPEAKING woman in America (yes that idea is retarded too, but that's why they do it). She totally failed at the speaking aspect, so shouldn't have won.

If this was a different context then maybe I could see people raging, but she failed ti give a good answer for the question, so she lost. No big deal.

I would say Chen's post above contains a much larger level of stupid and disregard for everything that has already been said in the thread however Chen might just be trolling because at this point that is all I expect to see here.

I did read the thread. Doesn't mean it needs to alter my opinion. More importantly I actually watched the video of her saying it, and of Hilton's video response, which some seemed to have missed in here. (not you other posts hint at it).

She stumbled on the answer, and she actually started of well in the beginning by saying it's great that this country has a choice between a man and man or man and woman. But then she started messing up her words and threw in a personal thought, which mostly sounded like she forgot what the initial question was and wanted to finish a thought. The end result being her answer went off track and never talked about state/federal laws. So I'm not surprised she lost, nor do I care about hilton's "motives" behind the question. He offered her a challenge and she failed, no big deal to me.

what's the right answer here? she gave a bad, vague, jumbled answer...but so does everyone in the competition. Hell, an answer on par with the other contestants on a retardedly charged question deserves more points. she touched on how the system works and her own opinion on the matter - both answer the "do you think gay marriage should be allowed in other states as well?"

stop saying you just think her answer was worded poorly when you just hate her opinion, it's ok lol
