I'm a faggot, and I take that offense to that.
Faggots are too good for DMB.

All you have to do is wait until this guy's Dyna LS falls apart. From what I'm seeing, it shouldn't take very long. He doesn't sound like the sharpest tool in the box. Also very much of the 'me first and screw you' variety. I bet his members just looooove that kind of attitude.
This game depends on cooperation for success. Once his LS is gone, he's screwed.
lol i'd expect nothing else out of a thread made like this here, drama is reserved for the people that steal 100mil dynamis banks and d rings and jump servers.
theres no reason to slam the guy for making it though, if you don't like what he's bitching about then YOU don't have to come to this thread, complaining about it just makes you the person that you are... complaining about.
I spoke to ehran and cyr cause he's jacking ours too, and its annoying. You can say what you want about the way bahamut handles its dynamis runs but when you do something the same way every sunday and wed for two years and some guy just comes along and does what he wants your going to get pissed.
At that point its not about a scheduling conflict or some attempt at being civil its about some dick who started some LS that just wants to do what he wants because he simply can which makes it not ok to me. When he could just as easily have actually looked at that scheduled and tried not to cause problems with the LS's on the server and had his xarcabards. But no he'd rather do it just for the sake of doing it.
EDIT: DMB sucks
There are 4 linkshells that run dynamis at the same time as mine, plus some small groups occasionally. Our leaders coordinate their schedules so nobody steps on anyone's toes... except Apathy. They're the only linkshell that doesn't care at all, hence their name. So I totally sympathize with the original poster, these linkshells need to be stopped.

This is not Ehran, I've simply decided to use his account for the anonymity and lulz. I do not anticipate what I'm posting will be a shocking revelation for anyone, I just thought I'd like you might like to read the amusing email sent from Cyr to a SE representative.
With no further adieu.
Franko Fonseca, Online Player Relations Manager

Dear Mr. Fonseca;
I am here today as a victim to appeal and to plead with you on my own behalf.
After subscribing to two years of your company's services and having a playtime of approximately 150 days, I am at a loss. On the night of December 15, at approximately 8:15pm PST, I attempted to log on to PlayOnline and eventually Final Fantasy XI only to find that my account, number XBCK8131, had been closed. I find that this closure was unjust and lacks any and all consistency. I am steadfast in my belief that my account's closure resulted from a simple misunderstanding on the GM's part and that if he/she had made an attempt to contact me before closing my account, this entire mess could have been avoided. For this reason, I am willing to place all of my effort into retrieving my account, in which I have invested countless hours and an immense amount of effort.
Months ago, I was labeled as a "botter" and an exploiter of "hacks" by both my closest friends and linkshell members. Shortly after that, I was reported to a GM and promptly punished with a three-day suspension. In addition to this, I was warned that if were to be caught breaking the Terms of Service once more my account would be permanently blocked, this is something I took to heart. I vowed to myself never to exploit any of these features again, for feared that I might lose the friends and loved ones that I have come to know in-game.
More recently, I am almost ashamed to say, I fell madly in love with a fellow adventurer, Neelahn of Gilgamesh. She suddenly became the whole focus of my life, both in-game and out. I would spend my entire day in school eagerly awaiting my chance to log on and spend the next four to five hours with her and her alone. This was always followed by constant dreams, both during the day and in my sleep. She soon became the main reason I played this game, because of this I proposed to her in-game. She accepted and for this reason, a bond that I would never even think of breaking or even risking was formed.
The most important piece of information to my story is the fact that I am seventeen years old. I am in my Senior year of High School and currently applying to various colleges. For this reason my parents have become more overbearing than ever before, oftentimes cutting off my internet connection without saying a word. This leaves me very frustrated in that I must search for an excuse to give my friends for my sudden disappearance, preferably without letting them know that my parents are as overbearing as they are. Please, bear this in mind as you continue reading.
On December 14 I was invited to take part in a quest called "Divine Might." This, as you may or may not know, is a very difficult quest requiring the fullest cooperation of a team of eighteen people. I was the main "tank" for the group as a 75 Paladin. All was going very well until suddenly my internet cut out, I soon found out that my father had pulled the plug and demanded that I go directly to bed. I later found out that after I had disconnected the entire battle went downhill and eventually ended in a loss for our alliance. I could not allow the blame for this waste of three hours to be placed solely on myself, so I decided that I would have to place the blame on something out of my control, yet something very believable. So I decided to play off of the fact that many of the people attending were people that I knew. They knew that I used to cheat. So, I thought nothing of giving them the excuse that I had been taken to jail by a GM, when in actuality I had disconnected from the server and was unable to reconnect.
Come December 15, I had just returned from school and decided to go camp a few "Notorious Monsters" in "Castle Oztroja." I had just arrived at "Caste Oztroja" when I received a /tell message from a close friend and linkshell member, Gyokoriprip of Gilgamesh. At about this same time I also received threatening messages from the players who are constantly hunting the "NMs" twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It was something along the lines of having a GM called on me, but I thought nothing of it because they always had made the same comments in the past. So, I continued my conversation with Gyokoriprip. I kept in mind that I had decided to tell everyone that I had been cheating the night before and for that reason I was sent to jail, despite the fact that I was never sent to jail, nor had I been cheating. So, I kept my story the same. After the "NMs" had popped and I had successfully claimed one of the three, I decided to take a nap. So I did, but first I sent new dates to my in-game marriage chaperone for possible wedding dates. Approximately an hour later I awoke. I attempted to log onto PlayOnline and found myself unable. I immediately attempted to call the PlayOnline information center, but it was closed for the night. I went to bed shocked, appalled, and dismayed that this was actually happening. Something that I had spent a huge portion of my life on was now gone, because of what I think to be a simple misunderstanding. What was worse was the fact that I was powerless to do anything.
On December 16, today, I made several calls to both Square-Enix and PlayOnline. In addition I contacted a Technical Service Representative via online chat. In total, I communicated with four separate individuals, explaining my situation to each of them. I finally thought it best to directly contact you, the Online Player Relations Manager, for best results.
So, in conclusion, I believe that the GM responsible for the closing of my account used the conversation that I had with Gyokoriprip as evidence to back up the GM call made by the NM hunters and, for this reason, found me guilty. If the GM had contacted me in-game, I would have happily explained the situation to them once I was informed of the gravity of the situation. Since I was not contacted, I was unable to defend myself, causing the situation to rise to this level.
All that I am asking for today is to have my account reopened. I do not wish for a refund nor any other sort of reimbursement. I simply wish for this tragic ordeal to be over with so that I can continue living my life as I did two days ago.
I eagerly await your favorable reply. If it is at all possible to communicate via e-mail, I am sure that would speed the process.
Thank you.
Kevin Kovacs
well then
I unno I got to the part of the E-gf and just meh :\
Shit's boring.

Yo, this shit just got real.
Is it on now?
hmmm...
where's that picture of the Whambulance...
On original topic, on our server there were 2 groups that had been doing dynamis on sundays at the same time for 3+ years. Then last year, about 6 dynamis shells started going at the same date and time as us. Then the new groups were up in arms about the older groups gathering and doing zones they scheduled for the week, so they took it upon themselves to make a dynamis LS master schedule, but didnt tell anyone other than the new groups. Then would come out of no where and flame us for going to zones we scheduled ourselves because we didnt post our schedule on a forum, that we didnt know about, that already had 6 shells posting their schedules so there was no room to post a schedule anyway.
This was usually done through tells from whichever upstart shell thought they were slighted, spammed to every member of our group. The usual bitch was that there was only 10 of us, we probably cant even get the first Time stone in any zone, and their 50 members would blot out the sun, and we were just wasting everyones time.
Anyway, whenever i read anything like this about some group bitching about another dynamis groups time slots they "called" i can only assume its very close to that same situation. Noobs throwing temper tantrums because it takes hours upon hours for them to gather their 50 members, and no one follows their schedules that dont work unless everyone agrees to them. But thats just me.
Did I miss something here? Other then Ehran's account being used to post that, what does it have to do with the topic at hand?
How is that different from any other linkshell ever started in order to benefit the linkshell leader? I don't buy into ideology of making a linkshell for the benefit of some annonymous person you've "met" in online community. And you of all people should know that after 5-6 years of playing this game, everyone's out for themselves. You can help all you want and be nice to people, but in the end, you're not paying a monthly fee for the sake of someone else's benefit.
Using dibs system on a site started by Japanese players to curb the influx of NA players starting out dynamis and everyone fell in line. It's a competitive game, but some people tend to forget that. Be it on individual basis or as a group, there's still competition.
Also, I'm at a loss as to what "Ehran's" poster is trying to accomplish with that.
Well, that was interesting little read.
In summation, it appears to me that our species is in fact doomed to extinction, not due to waning resources or environmental conditions, but due to the tendencies of a relatively small number of its populace to, at any given opportunity, put their own little petty desires before everything else in the world. Oh well, 6th graders will still love DMB, untill they get their pubes in and start blasting HIM.
Also, havent you heard the same motherfucking songs enough? old balding fag keeps on a-playing the same songs to the same people who can barely keep sober thru a week. GG.

Not everyone is petty and selfish. I enjoy helping my online friends achieve their goals as they enjoy helping me. I also pay 1 of my real life friend's subscription fees for him to be able to play with me.
