When I solo tanked Tiamat, it was with a group of like 16 I think? Can't remember the exact number. So I wanna take 10 people out of that, lol.

Coincidentally, there's also a topic running on RDM/NIN tanking on HNM (with a "derail" on pld/nin and drk/nin + enmity levels etc), it's a nice read ^^ It should give you a good indication on what can be done/what you can leave out, at a relatively safe level

In my time donig HNMs, I know Fafnir can be done with 6~8. (Granted 1 was Aegis PLD. Rest is like 2 DDs, WHM, RDM, and then 1 to 3 BLMs. All have to have really good gear.) You can theoretically go much lower than this but you'll probably rage him so that's why 6-8.

Lowest I've done Tiamat was random pickup of like 9 or so (Gjallarhorn, 2 WHMs, Solo Tank with crazy fire resist build + WHM Barspells), although I remember back in the day Food Monsters on Carbuncle did it with 6 (Relic Horn needed and a damn good solo tank).
