If you are getting your 'mask' out of a little paper box, it isn't going to really offer any form of complete protection. Actual microbe filtering systems are usually uncomfortable and cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

Here's hoping the virus is smart enough to choose its victims. And here's hoping the first targets are people who think certain people "look illegal."

In a perfect world, the thing blows over without causing much damage and we all learn a valuable lesson about hysteria and media manipulation.

But in reality, all this is going to end up doing is killing a shitload of people, and further exposing just how ignorant, cowardly, and petty most people are. They'll kill what's left of the world's economy by cowering in their houses afraid of the zombie pig invasion, and doom the entire human race. Maybe we don't deserve to live after all.

You can get the surgical masks that will help reduce your chances of getting anything for a couple bucks. They have to be tight against your face and worn properly to do anything and they need to be replaced every couple of hours. They are not expensive and effective at blocking large particulates in the air that can contain viral particles.

When someone coughs or sneezes the virus particles travel through the air contained in little water droplets, these droplets in a cool dry environment can travel hundreds of feet and when they come into contact with a moist environment (nose, eyes, mouth) then you can catch whatever is in the water droplet.

A mask traps the water particles and blocks them from you breathing them in. If it is worn correctly.

Yeah... It's not hard to tell when you've lived here your whole life and have seen a number of people fail to present an ID when asked for it. Sanjay Gupta on Anderson Cooper 360 found the original host of the Virus yesterday. They said it was like "finding a needle in a hay stack, but we found him." They showed him with his family too, he's a 4 year old kid, who contracted the diseases in March this year, and 40ish people in his community also got infected, but apparently the kid was recovered cause they showed a video of Sanjay interviewing him and his mom yesterday on Anderson Cooper 360.

Turns out the kid died at the hospital I work for. I really only go there once a week there to deliver from their warehouse though. Just crazy how close it is.

Well I'm at the uhh.. eastern most tip of texas on the border with arkansas pretty much, lots of people go through here since this is sort of like a "rural town area" so its possible to be here ;/

and to reply to others, yeah the swine flu is airborne.. its like any other flu/cold, coughing and others passing that area can catch it.. or coming in contact with a person with it and rubbing your face/eating food etc

Fortunately, this place has near nonexistent form of entertainment of any kind, so I rarely go outside except for food/work.
