lolconservemp? The haste isn't doing anything when recasts are shorter than mob lives, and the -enmity isn't doing anything because debuffs don't give any decent amount of hate in the first place, at least not enough to be concerned about meritting. If you're going to use it, at least use it for the right reason. 5 Conserve Mp is an average of 1.4% mp saved, slow+para is 21 mp, you'll save an average of 0.3 mp each time you cast them use goliard. This is next to nothing, but the -enmity and haste are literally nothing in most merit parties. Use errant, fin.

Sleep and dispel don't generate hate? News to me. I very rarely exp on RDM as is, and when I do, I usually have the misfortune of dealing with pickup pt brds (ones who can't for instance, land sleep reliably or don't finale). Therefore, the added -emnity and recast are better for me than the 10 mnd; seeing as you said mobs die before you get the benefit of the added potency. And as you said, you save .3 mp each cast with conserve mp (if it procs) therefore yes, lolconservemp.

    Shit is situational, fin.

If the DD are so bad that you have to worry about hate from sleeping or dispelling merit mobs, get the fuck out of the party?

Yeah, I shoulda specified AF gloves are bad on EXP/solo mobs :\ Either way. Spamming Campaign now for better gloves, hoping to get people together for Vicious Mufflers soon enough.

You're right, they're terrible for not being able to hold hate off me for dispelling/sleeping/silencing before they get a chance to voke. BRD pulls > I dispel/Silence > Brd sleep gets resisted (or blinked) > I have hate. DD's are still fighting the previous mob, because apparently BRD's try to pull the next mob to keep chain (which they're supposed to). Now you're just being obstinate for the hell of it. There's a valid reason to wear Goliard in that situation. Is it ok to fulltime it? Of course not, though in that situation its warranted.

dispel/silence 1x each is less hate then elegy with first action bonus and lullaby 1x each >.> Either way, you're sleeping it after those 2 casts and the DD are voking it off before it wakes up. You're micromanaging to gain nothing by altering your macros or xml specifically for meritting to use goliard.

Actually, Dispel and Silence have more VE than elegy with dispel having more CE as well. Lullaby has less VE than either of those spells; unless I'm horribly misinterpreting the emnity tables. (which might be the case, i admit I'm not expert on emnity). I would be micromanaging to gain nothing if i edited my macros/xml specifically to swap in errant for those casts, instead of leaving the goliard body on.

In a merit situation like that, af and errant would be giving you less benefit than if you were wearing goliard. That was the sole purpose of my statement, that goliard has a warranted use when casting certain enfeebles (or leaving it on for merit).

Are you factoring in the "first action" enmity bonus like he said?

Is there a solid number of added emnity from the "first action" bonus? It was my understanding that there wasn't. If there is a solid number, is it enough to generate more emnity than the 640 VE created by dispel+silence? (roughly 2.6x than the 240 VE of Elegy; again assuming my assumptions and interpretations are correct)

It takes 12 seconds for the volatile enmity to decay entirely from both of your actions, even if there was no first action bonus then the fact bard's 2 songs have higher cumulative enmity will make the mob stay on the bard. If you're going to argue it won't be slept for 12 seconds, DD are moving fast enough that they'll have hate. Your points all fail, if you're going to argue for the enmity you'll be wrong and if you're going to argue for the mp saved you could use morrigan's or dalm.

    Silence: 1 CE 320 VE
    Dispel: 320 CE 320 VE

Carnage Elegy: 100 CE 240 VE
Foe Lullaby: 240 CE 0 VE

Total of 19 more CE generated by the BRD, 400 more VE generated by the RDM. The mob will stay on the RDM until its emnity decays, or until its Voked off. My points don't fail, you're ignoring the argument that Goliard is viable for casting certain enfeebles and, believe it or not, not everyone has access to Dalm or Morriagan body (which Morrigan's and Dalm don't even factor INTO the arguemnt).

Reminds me of the RDM's I've seen recently casting all their debuffs in Goliard body. I guess AF1 is "too old" and errant is too..idk...good?
I already stated that goliard isn't better for all debuffs, the argument was that Goliard is a viable option vs Af/Errant in certain situations.

640 VE takes 12 seconds to decay(60 VE/second according to Kaeko's tests, went up to 12 on the rather likely chance it 'ticks' in 3 second intervals like many other things), please read what I write before responding to it.

Is there a time once in a blue moon where it WILL be worth casting them in goliard body? Most likely.

Is it gimping you the other 99.9%? Yes.

So you're basically saying that there are situations where Goliard is warranted to cast in, right? GG spending half a page arguing to agree with me -.-

I wasn't even calling you out... But yeah as long as potency isn't something you care about on a debuff, then sure use Goliard.

The one you mentioned isn't one of them, for the aforementioned reasons. Additionally, if you're really OCD enough to have a seperate meritting macro set for one piece then you should be able to understand it's doing nothing besides the conserve mp for you(and a refresh body while casting would get you 1.5 mp during those 2 casts, resulting in more mp saved). If you don't have access to morrigan's, you probably don't have access to dchapeau either, and everyone has access to vermy cloak sooooo...

Actually I do have a Dchapeau, and i'm not OCD enough for a separate merriting macro set (I'm not even OCD enough to marcro swap my full MND set on). I simply cast in my normal curing set (unless I'm really desperate for acc, or needing extra potentcy which neither apply to a merit situation), which happens to have goliard body for the -emnity/haste. Are you now going to argue that the extra 5 HP given from the 10 MND on errant is better than goliard for casting Cure IV? And how does not doing salvage equate to not having a dynamis shell? Seriously, you're just arguing with me for the hell of it.

Pooky that isn't a very logical argument though eh. Cause if you're not going for potency on a mob that dies in 5-20 seconds (which you say warrants using goliard for 5% conserve MP) than in that situation you might as well not cast that enfeeble at all cause than you'd be saving 100% of your MP.

If you're going to cast an enfeeble, cast it so that it has purpose and actually does something. Even if paralyze procs once before the mob dies, that'll serve more purpose than spending the 30 MP or w/e and it not proc at all and hope that 5% of the time you'll save MP.

The only time goliard might be warranted is if you've just converted and you want to use up some "free" mp off of your convert set before taking it out of your main sets mana pool.

Your normal macro set doesn't put MND gear on when you cast slow or enfeebling gear on for silence?

Also, while dynamis and salvage aren't related, generally it takes a decent amount of time dedicated to a dynamis shell to get a chapeau as it's the most contested dynamis drop usually. If you have that much time, you typically do other events as well, but it was a bad assumption on my part and I apologize.

My argument wasn't for the conserve MP, In fact I said "lolconservemp" because I know how negligible the returns from it are. The Enfeebles I was referring to are Dispel, Silence, and Sleep: three enfeebles with no proven benefit of increased INT or MND, and because I have a Dchapeau, the 15 skill from af body isn't required to land. In that case, the Haste/-emnity would be more beneficial to cast in imo.

For someone who complains about not reading posts, you seem to have the same problem.

Nothing wrong with his feet in terms of damage, and on puddings they are prolly better than yigit anyways (im not doing all the math shit but pretty sure they beat yigit on puddings with tier4 and if it doesnt were talking 3-5 damage difference, and of course it beats yigit on AM2 but if your using AM2 theres one of your problems with soloing puddings, stop!)

I still sport Cobra Crackows. I CBA to work for Yigit for a very minor damage difference on tier3 and lower spells, and I also get an HP bonus that GREATLY helps achieve Sorcerer Ring HP...

seriously, Sorcerer's ring with Cobra Crackows and Rostrum pumps is so much easier to get in range and keep a higher overall HP.
And you get a lil more conserve mp to boot, along with 1mAcc to almost make up for the int accuracy bonus on yigit.

Fuck yigit I pref my survivability of having higher HP when using sorc ring >_>
I think i should be around 620 HP now, as a taru.
