I do find it amusing that such an exhaustively tested theory with the infamous SE video would still be tested almost 2 years after its release.

I've asked quite a few JP members in my shell that actively read almost all the popular blog rings/forums on their end. They've said nothing has popped up and said its probably {lie} in autotranslate lol.

I'd have to say I agree, I can't find anything on any of the top JP sites and boards.
The only thing even referring to it I can find is a two post conversation in the Pandemonium Server thread which goes something like:

Guy1: *posts url to thread in question* So, will the bullshitter who wrote this one please raise their hand
Guy2: Yea there's no way AV could be killed on our server, much less by a JP shell

And then the next 30 posts revert back to Osode prices and people in Campaign who hold mobs. Nobody except Guy2 even bothered to respond so I think we can all call BS on this one.

"Air's Museum" is Aircommand's (Galka BLM, Carbuncle) blog or whatever you want to call it. (I find JPs to be so weird with their forums and stuff, lol) The guy himself I believe can be trusted, and shared a lot of stuff on Salvage when it first came out. (Although, looking back, I don't really remember if the stuff they posted was fake or not.)

But anyway, it looks like this is just some sort of post by someone else, and not him, so who knows.

Generally, I don't think random JP posts are to be trusted. I remember some guy claiming on 2ch or something that Ouryu BC dropped abjurations, those people are full of shit sometimes lol

The translations and speculations posted in this thread are pretty much all you can get out of this so far. Air posts under his own name, so it wasn't him that claimed to defeat AV. I saw the thread that Kenzo mentioned, and like he wrote, they pretty much blew it off as crap, and the conversation quickly continued on other topics.

It's strange that some guy would just pop in and claim to have beaten AV with a full strategy report, but who knows, JP sometimes like to spam and bs too.

Can you really prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that a drop on a monster that has only been killed a relatively small number of times is 100%? Although it was probably a glitch the first kill had nothing drop. I'm not saying that this isn't a hoax and I'm pretty positive it is until we see some better evidence. For all we know SE may have screwed up the loot tables the last time they patched it because it's not like it's been beaten since then.

As likely as this a hoax I'd hold my judgment until the dust settles a bit.

Obviously at this point I can't prove they changed it, but I don't see why they would have a reason to have changed the loot table again after the last patch. Then again, why does SE need logic.

But like Kaeko said, when it was briefly killable, it dropped on every kill. We teamed up with 2 other linkshells on our server and did nothing but kill AV 18 times over a weekend for the three LSes, and every single kill had a Mars' and Bellona's Ring attached. While a small "sample," if it were only a 30% or 20% drop or something, the odds of the first 18 fights dropping the item every kill are pretty unreasonably high.

what a disappointment, was hoping that the method was more then a random luck IF it is even true.. we were from the 3 LSs team up that killed AV 18 times and yes bellona dropped every single time.. so I call BS on the report too -..-

having said that, I would replica what been said in the report on next AV >..>; the fact where he mentioned aeroga IV dmg is pretty accurate, his magic dmg got reduced pretty much to 500-600 dmg on our PLDs and tornado II was weak too.

Not going to say this story is true but....

1. The last time SE ninja fixed AV, they also said the maintenance was system hardware maintenance I believe.

2. They could have changed the loot pool when they fixed AV.

3. The 2 hr thing is just like what the video posted. the story the JP posted kinda made sense though. Invincible was the only 2 hr they used twice and could have messed up the AV because of that.

4. Maybe AV retains invincible regardless of if you lock the other 2 hrs. That could be the reason why SEs PLD use invincible to save his own ass instead of dying, RRing, and matching his 2 hr with the rest of the groups. (Meaning that PLD 2 hred before AVs 2 hr went off in the video, while no other member in that party did so.)

5. Not having a POL message saying the JP defeated it doesn't mean crap. Last time I checked.... They posted PWs death weeks later after his death.

Not saying the JP story of them defeating AV is true, however, the 5 reason people gave for it being fake or not making sense, I posted above.

As for Number 6, I will make that one myself lol.

How come they did not make any mention of lowering his regen with the nuke matching the gameday.

Him using call wyvern 2nd or right away makes sense as well. the nerfed AV tends to use call wyvern on one of his first 2 dustcloud animations.

I will post BS on this until I see a POL announcement of it before the end of May.

Lol I didn't even realize that until you mentioned it, but yeah, that's exactly what it says on the post.
I'm not going to pretend like I know anything about AV but I would think that's yet another reason to believe that the story is full of crap.
