If those strangers vote, isn't it the same as if someone from BG votes? And what if my Mom decided to get everyone from her Mom's group to vote? I don't know any of them, is that unfair too?

It's just a silly contest, I'm not going to win $2000 from this or anything.

It's not a silly contest. Someone's grade is going to change as a result and I would rather benefit the person that deserves than the person who came to a forum full of hundreds of people just to bump his own grade up. It's a contest, and the best person should win, not the person with the most friends.

Did you not see that the professor himself said that you are allowed to vote as many times as you want IN THE DISCLAIMER FOR THE POLL? If I had the ambition I could go down to the library and log onto each of the 400 computers in there and vote for myself 400 times, and it would be legitimate. I would win by a landslide and it would be because of a single voter.

I don't understand why you are calling me a cheater when he posted the poll to a public website, ENCOURAGED us to post it to our facebook pages and myspace pages and twitters and whatever.

It's not a silly contest. But noone's grade is going to change for the worst. Three of the four people are getting the grade they deserve, the one winner is getting as many as 10 points added to their final grade for coming up with 1 clever sentence. It's a silly contest. The OP probably doesn't deserve to win, noone deserves a letter grade bump for an opening line. The rest of the story can be complete shit, I can't think of how many stories had fantastic grabbers and shitty plots. Kudos to the OP to recognize that it's a meaningless contest that noone can lose, so why not take advantage and steal a win.

I didn't expect that I was going to have to justify this contest to someone who took issue with the fact that I am utilizing a resource that maybe the other students involved in the poll don't have.
