Ridiculous outcome for that fight. Plain and simple. If you've read anything about the mafia, very few of the mafioso that ever existed were good fighters. They never even maintained their weapons in most cases. I remember reading a guy's memoirs about his mob days. They were all eating in a diner and they heard one of their crew laughing hysterically in the bathroom. So they go in to make sure he's alright and the fat bastard accidentally dropped his gun in the toilet while he was dropping a deuce. I'm sorry, but no way would any member of the Yakuza lose to a mafioso. Just wouldn't happen.

I liked the episode, although I still feel the molotov is better then the grenade.

I expected the Mafia to win based on the tommy gun alone. 100 rounds in one of those things is just silly. But I don't consider the Mafia warriors, just thugs. I consider some of the more veteran yakuza warriors, but the lower ones are just thugs as well. It's a toss up in a face to face combat situation when it comes to sub-machine guns.

The simulated fight is just a recap of the computer fights. I agree, I love the demos and the shit talking more than the end fight. The end fight is fun to watch cause its hilarious. Like when the Pirate was running away with his treasure.

I want to see what this "Shit Gun" is all about. LOL

I liked a comparison a guy I work with made about the Mafia vs Yakuza. The mafia kills more people but they did it just by shooting them via ambush/driveby/stabbings. The Yakuza kill less but make their killings much more brutal and memorable.

If you take a look at the results, about 80% of the kills were from the tommy gun/sten(approxomation, going by the numbers i remember, 400ish for both weapons) So none of the rest of the fights really mattered at all

people might be upset by the outcome, but the result was super close; second in the series if i recall.

as for the bat vs the nunchaku, i'm sure they took into effect not only the power factor but the fact that the nunchaku can and does bite the wielder (when on the offensive) quite often regardless of how skilled he is with it.

According to Wiki, Spetsnaz wins. I didnt get to watch the episode yet, FFXI Sky run + Fringe Finale.

Wiki also has a episode I didnt see on the list before:

Episode 7: Shaolin Monk vs Māori

Episode 8: William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu

    Episode 9: IRA vs Taliban

    IRA vs. Taliban

The Taliban - deadly extremists battling in the mountains of Afghanistan, versus the I.R.A. - elusive, hard-hitting masters of Ireland's urban jungles. It's a battle to the death, between two lethal guerilla warriors, armed to the teeth with flamethrowers, rocket launchers, carbines, mines and a devastating home-made bombs.

Spetsnaz did win last night. They gave it to them because of their superior training but the result was even closer than mafia vs. yakuza iirc. The ballistic knife was probably the most interesting part of the show and the handgun test was kinda BS because it was a test of the user's skill rather than the weapon itself.

I believe Spetsnaz took mid range, close range, and melee combat and the Green Berets took long range and explosives when the tests were over.

The question from way earlier in the thread about when were the Vikings, the height of Viking warrior raids in Europe was around 1000 AD.

Viking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"A Viking (pron. /ˈvaɪkɪŋ/) is one of the Norse (Scandinavian) explorers, warriors, merchants, and pirates who raided and colonized wide areas of Europe from the late eighth to the early eleventh century.[1] These Norsemen used their famed longships to travel as far east as Constantinople and the Volga River in Russia, and as far west as Iceland, Greenland, and Newfoundland. This period of Viking expansion is known as the Viking Age, and forms a major part of the medieval history of Scandinavia, the British Isles and Europe in general."

Vikings raids in the 17/18th century? lol, I think the Brits would have something to say about that.

Ballistic Knife was pretty cool. Wasn't expecting that at all. The shovel made me lol.

The most impressive for me was the Sniper Rifle tests. Assuming the wait between shots was the actual wait, their accuracy was very impressive.

I agree the Handgun test was lol. The Green Beret guy failed. Seems like he rushed it too much instead of going for kills.

    Edit: Spetsnaz won by 7.

Just clicked on that link above and they advertised Oil of Olay (makeup)...

What the hell is that doing on spiketv?

Either a mess up or they have hit a demographic of women that likes seeing burly men.
