Masks...finishing leathercraft

I've just hit 90 leathercraft: all guides i've seen suggest Tiger Mask to 95, then Panther Masks to 100 (i'll prob try some griffin leather synths to bridge the two).

I just wondered what most have done with these masks, npc or desynth? Tiger masks only seem to npc for 1.1k, but desynthing at 90 hasn't proved very successful. NPC early on, then desynths might become more reliable as i approach each synth cap?

I'd appreciate any suggestions

I sold them, and I'd switch to Panther Masks at 94 if you have all the GP items. The HQs sell slowly, but they can offset a lot of the cost.

Griffon Leather, no?

At least I did it when I hit 90. Not sure what's cheaper, but now you can sell some of this leathers at least.

I npc'd the majority of masks i made while skilling up. I tried desynthing a couple times and it didn't really seem worth it. I'd only suggest trying to desynth if you can't seem to get enough mats. Depends on your server. Tiger and Panther masks when i did it only sold on AH for 1-2k more than npc price and sold slowly, so I didn't feel it was worth it to keep all those masks for months trying to sell for just a little more gil.

Griffon Leather can also be a good option, especially now that theres an actual use for it.

Skilling on dusk gloves can also be an option when you get close...personally, i didn't do this. I was neither rich enough nor brave enough, but if you're eventually trying to hq dusk gloves then it can kill two birds with one stone.

Desynthed them when Wyvern Skins were 50k a pop.

Whippersnappers etc. NPC them.

tiger mask until cap and griffon whenever possible, then panthers to 100. I dual box farmed a lot of the HQ coeurls with rdm + th4 and bought a ton of them in the labyrth from ose campers. I literally HQ'd 0 from 90-100, it sucked. I don't really know how much I lost, I didn't really care at that point I just wanted to finish.

edit: i tried desynthing and it didn't seem worth it, I just npc'd or saved some for GPs. I tried doing griffons only for that one level but got antsy due to lack of supply lol

I did Tiger Mask til cap then Griffon Hide til cap then Panter Mask like cdgreg said above. I desynth'd the Panther Masks. Wyvern Skins were hard to catch on AH and every little bit helps.

I did a combination of Cardinal Vest/ Tiger Masks. I did the vest since the ingredients were easier to get at the time. I ended up HQing 2 of them too so it paid off. I did desynth the masks, but that was due to the fact that wyvern skins were hard to get back then. Just hoped I could get a skin back. After 95 I did Griffon Leather and Panther masks, but had no luck HQing

Thanks for the feedback. Mask sales are fairly slow on Hades, but i'll try to put a few up while skilling with the rest probably ending up at an npc. Griffon leather is an attractive option, it's a shame the hides are in fairly short supply.

All this basically. No matter what you do, you'll be likely crafting at a loss unless it's Griffon Leather.
