I have a friend that does the same damn thing! It is so annoying.

Hes like "I beta tested this that and this other thing" or "I bought this before it came out because I know this guy". He always trys to one up people too. I can't stand it personally but he either doesn't do it as much to others or the other people put up with it.

I've stopped talking to him end of story. It got out of hand and honestly I don't need a friend like that.

Seriously, my grandmother is just like this and I can't stand it. She told me Hilary Clinton called her a "nigga" last year during primaries. She told me my 10 month old niece sang the whole chorus to "I believe I can fly" a few months ago. I'm trying to think of some other examples, but she does it so freakin often that I just completely tune her out when I'm around her. The getting struck by lightning thing reminds me of my grandmother's "I had a stroke but didn't care" story.

The best thing to do is to not be friends with that person anymore. Seriously, people like this are annoying.
