STR Cap

I've been wondering about this for awhile and never have been able to find anything that makes sense to me. I was wondering if there is a known STR cap for wses. Sort of like xx str over the mobs vit or something.

Also if there is a cap such as this does str above this cap still increase the wses dmg if it's a modifier? War has an absurd amount of str options so I wanted to see if there was a cap so I could stack other things instead of so much str.

Weaponskill damage is affected by a number of things, but in regards to STR the 2 factors that come into play are fSTR & wsc (and to a lesser extent pdif)

There is a cap for fSTR. The actual cap depends on your weapon rank. The higher the weapon D the higher the cap.

WSC has no cap. This means that if your weaponskill has a STR modifier increasing str will increase your ws dmg.

In almost all situations it is quite difficult to reach the fSTR cap unless you are fighting very weak mobs.

Short version: No STR cap unless you are fighting too weak monsters and using wses that do not contain STR mods.

I thought it was possible for THF to hit the FSTR cap on VT birds as they have low D weapons?
IIRC the cap is ~120STR for a THF (some one will do the maths to prove me wrong later)

But I don’t think it is feasible for any of the 2Handers to reach it on a meaningful target

120 str is still hard to reach for THF, depending on race etc, even with hecatomb gear.

True it isn't easy... but it is possible to reach the FSTR cap.

you would need +50-60STR depending on race, which is full Hecatomb + STR rings, chiv chain, foragers
