I've seen "shadows", etc. But no real proof, to me at least, of ghosts existing. I believe there's some weird paranormal shit going on, just have not seen it I guess. My sister told me that the ghost of some teenager, whom had committed suicide in a field behind our neighborhood, used to frequent the house and talk to her. Whether she was telling the truth, or looking for attention, I'll never know.

I was bothered one day though when my Gamecube just fell over for no reason off a speaker. I mentioned it to her and her reply was "oh, it was him, he hates video games."

I think marble dropping is a common sound. I lived in a new university residence and most people could hear that sound, not sure what causes it but the first thing that should come to mind is pipes and not ghosts.

I've seen some strange shit that even today I can't find a reasonable explanation. UNLESS I pull some Scully shit out of my ass in the veins of: I was standing x meters away from the source, but my angle of vision was β, the light's angle was Θ, and thus the refraction caused me to see "ghastly" images in front of me. Images that were not even blurry, mind you, I mean actual people.

To the people who believe in ghosts, do scary movies bother you? Are you stuck wondering if a girl is going to crawl out of your TV? How do you sleep at night when you entertain the possibility that there could be a ghost with the face of the jackal from Thirteen Ghosts hiding in your closet or hovering just above your bed sheets for when you wake up in the middle in the night?

The only "paranormal" experience I've ever had occured at a friends house a few years back, I was in my mid 20's at the time.

She lived in this huge 250+ year old farmhouse that she claimed was haunted. Apparently there were 2 ghosts there, a young boy and a man who seemed to be very angry. She claims that she has never actually seen the ghosts herself, but her sister says when she was younger she used to play with the little boy in her room.

Anyway the main strange things that would happen would be noises. Me and a few friends were there one night, noone else was home, and suddenly we heard all kinds of thumping noises upstairs, like someone was running around. The noises were very loud too, they easily drowned out the sound from the TV. We went upstairs and nothing was up there and the noises stopped completely afterward.

Later on we went into her basement and into a room where one of the ghosts supposedly hung out. I didn't see it but we put a coin onto the table, and as we were walking out it was suddenly flung against the wall and onto the floor.

Does this mean I believe in ghosts? Not really, I want to see one first. Sure she could have been messing with me but I see no reason why. I had known her for years and she never once mentioned anything about her house being haunted till I actually visited it.

I really don't want to believe, but if i'm being honest i really couldn't say i either do or don't. My sister works in a local hospital, and according to her, there was a nurse that died driving home from work at some point, and random people staying in a certain room started seeing someone outside their window, on the third floor.. When asked for a description they would describe the nurse that died, whom none of them had met. Eventually the hospital called in a priest, i don't remember the outcome though. Like i said, I really don't want to believe, but some things make ya wonder.

This is always a hard question for me. I would like to say I 100% believe there is no such things as ghosts. I always thought that, and still part of me does. However, I had this one part of my life that I can't explain.

When I was 18 I used to work at a 1800s tavern (wore costumes n' stuff). The building itself was mostly rebuilt but some of it was from the original tavern. The tavern itself was very tiny. There was a bar (where we made the food), and two open areas for seats. So you basically saw everything. There was only one set of stairs leading to the second floor, which we used to get changed into our costumes. Usually we only had two people working during the day, sometimes three on the weekends.

When I worked there there was always weird stuff going on. Like hearing footsteps in the second floor when no one was up there (again there was only one set of stairs, and we could see them easily). Sometimes there was thumping. Those small things could be explained by maybe squirrels I guess though the footsteps were pretty prominent. But there was one day that I just can't explain.

In the morning, the opener had to pick up the key from the office. I was the only opener that day. I picked up the key and went to the tavern, and unlocked it. (note only other employee that would have a key was my boss) When I went in there was a woman in costume with her back to me. She was making a fire in the fireplace. Obviously, this was my boss (in my head) since she was the only other person with the key, and the only other person who would be there that morning. I did find it strange though that she was making a fire, because it was the summertime and we only set it in the winter. But I figured she wanted some atmosphere. I went upstairs (after shutting/locking the door), to get dressed....and my boss was upstairs getting dressed.

I said "Janet how did you get up here? I saw you making a fire."

Janet "I've been up here, I never made any fire"

I ran back down, and the woman was gone and there was no fire in the fireplace.

Seriously, I have NO explanation as to what happened that day. I can still picture the back of the woman perfectly in my head. I know I saw her, yet her being there is basically impossible. I still want to say I don't believe in ghosts, but I always think back to that day, and wonder about it.

Creepy as fuck, I tell you.

too much math involved. I look back and wish I had said "hello" or something to get the woman's attention, to see if she turned around. But like I said at the time I just thought it was my boss, so didn't think anything of it.

I'm sure there is some scully explanation for it, but you know a mind can be stubborn sometimes. My brain knows there was a woman there. There was nothing unusual about the day to cause me to see it. She was moving like she was trying to get the fire started. Her clothes were a brownish yellow color, and she had on one of those white cloth hats. Too much of it would say to me that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. Iono I still want to say I don't believe in ghosts, but I don't think I'll ever find the answer to what happened.
