Still have on SNES, don't need or want.
Still have on SNES, don't need or want.
SNES version >>>>>>>>> Arcade version
My fucking god, yes... too bad I don't have an XBox or Wii.
What is the difference between the SNES and arcade versions?
Also thinking about it, we might have TMNT 1 on NES somewhere, just no NES to play it![]()
I think it had somethin to do with the difficulty. Played the arcade version recently at Comic-Con and I was getting my ass whipped bad whereas the SNES I usually had no problem.
SNES had more levels and some bosses were changed.
you don't fight super awesome ice-shooting Shredder in arcade I think, only Shredder with a sword
also, you automatically die after 5 minutes or something, here's hoping they change both of those
the SNES version had different difficulty settings, based on enemy AI, continues, and amount of life. But ya even the hardest setting was pretty easy to beat.
Why the fuck does it need to be remade? Just port it, turning it 3D isn't improving anything.
I think that'd only apply if the guys remaking this were aiming for the sales of our generation who grew up playing this game which would be silly if they're tryin to make money.
Sorry to bump this old topic but was wondering since it just came out for PSN, has anyone bought it?
Just downloaded it, would be cool to get with some BG folks on this action.
Okay, now I have a Wii again. Where's my fucking Ninja Turtles?
Just bought it on PSN yesterday, it does have online, but not local/online hybrid ( example: 2 people on a single PS3 to play with 2 other people on another PS3 )
So: Either have 4 people all in the same room on the same PS3 (Local mode), OR 4 people on 4 separate PS3s using the online feature.
Oh and of course you don't NEED 4 people to play, I was just using that as an example.
As for the game play it self:
It's the same classic arcade action you are used to as a kid!
But...The game seems somewhat short and easy. I was kinda hoping it was longer.
Dunno if i would recommend it to everyone.
For some reason I almost feel more jipped buying this version, than feeding the arcade tons of quarters :X
All in all, it is fun and enjoyable, I probably would have gotten a better experience from this with a full group of 4 in the same room rather than 3 strangers online who didn't' have mics
I give it a 2 out of 5
With the potential of a 3 out of 5 with the right people in a local match
Worst and quickest 15 bucks I ever spent...
we beat it in like 15 minutes and just pressed one button the entire time....
Not even close to what it used to feel like....![]()
Yeah I'm starting to feel like Welt. Just doesn't feel the same.
bleh i just played the demo, thank god i didn't buy it. Gimme back my 2d turtles in time!
Yeah I played through it a couple of times on 360, but I would MUCH rather have had a straight port instead of a remake.
Now they just need to give us the Simpsons and X-men arcade games, but please just ports!!!
They changed all the damn music!
One of the top reasons I got it was for the song on "Bury my shell at wounded knee"
I don't know why, but that's one of the things I can remember best as a kid
Thought it was a pure port, just w/ updated graphics? And unlimited continues kinda takes the fun out of it and gives it no sense of challenge
