    THF66 Maat

Anyone ever done Maat at THF66? (-not- talking about First G5 where you just steal, apparently have to beat him for Cap.)

    How evasive/accurate is it?
Any chance to beat him at 66?

    Thank you~

Equipement would be the regular DD stuff, haste+10%, PCC and shits.

Do it as your first job, run in, and steal. Easy win.

Sorry but I'm a bit confused... how can I do it as "my first job" considering my first Maat was PLD.

I've been told if you're going for Cap and it's not your first Shattering Stars, you need to beat him on THF, and not steal.

I won the fight at 15:00 at 66. I made the mistake of thinking that sushi would cancel out the bat earrings and blinding potion. Instead, we just sat there whiffing on each other the first 5 minutes of the battle. (I think we connected 1 out of 20 each) Even when the blindness wore off, he still missed me a lot. I didn't really have much trouble connecting w/ sushi once blindness wore off.

Therefore, just bring the normal melee stuff (opo-opo, sleeping pots, potions, icarus) and you should win easily.

Thanks a lot, I'll try this week.

It's not nearly as hard as you might think, balance your evasion and accuracy and you should do just fine. Blink band at start ensures a bit of breathing room. What I did was when he 2HRs, hit flee, kite him, then pop your own 2HR and enjoy 30 seconds of worry free waildown. I lost the first time because I had an unlucky number of landing triple attacks on me but the second was effortless.

Starting out with a Spartan Hoplon charge running helps a lot too, but don't put it up again when it goes down, you're better off using the time to beat the snot out of the old man.

I beat him on 66 THF when going for my cap a couple of months ago. Just make sure you have dagger capped, and use a food with accuracy. Other than that it's pretty straightforward, definitely use Flee when he 2hr's, as Savanah said.

Maat fights can be gnarly at 66, but if you just go overboard on preparation they're all pretty easy. After taking the time to farm the testimonies, I didn't feel like leaving anything to chance. So I did each fight with Stoneskin Torque, Blink Band, Opo Opo to 100%, Icarus Wing, Vile Elixir, and Vile Elixir +1 just in case.

Hardest part about Maat is the sweaty hands on the controller, lol.

I went in at 69 with sirocco kukri and won with no difficulty. I'd figure THF maat @66 isn't as hard as long as you have enough acc and eva
