I merited on NIN for the first time in two years just now, needed buffer, I did pretty damn well vs. a well geared WAR/NIN (I won parse but hey he wasn't /SAM). My NIN gear isn't quite perfect but meh. Squid sushi, 120 total DEX, 30% critrate or so, lawl. Capped or near-capped hitrate. 35% DW, 20% haste in gear. 700 average Jins.

Yea NIN can do pretty damn well, just that VS well geared DDs that /SAM and fulltime Hasso, can't really keep up at all, not far of by shitloads of % but still.

Nin's flakey and Jin's unpredictable. There's some that have taken the time to make it go above and beyond it's average potential, but for the most part it's not much. Shinryuu knows that if he parsed his War against his Nin wether it be /Nin or /Sam his Nin wouldn't stand a chance. War doesn't need /Sam to be great, I do just fine as /Nin, and even as /Sam I've never ridden Hasso, with S/TE and a 6-hit it makes the job a big enough powerhouse as it is.
