Awesome, a company that actually reads threads about them. +1 to them.

Well that was interesting and unexpected.
Now if only some gaming companies could do that..
I really want to start again, but at the same time I'm reminded of the shit that the ladders have become due to duping and d2jsp.
When they release 1.13, which will probably lineup with my retirement 50 years from now, I'll play for sure. I just hope the duping and random bannings are kept to a minimum that ladder season.
Blizzard will be testing the "new" warden system in Diablo II that will be also used in part, or similar to Diablo III. From my understanding they are adding an authentication system for items to identify them so dupes can easily be identified and flagged.
They've said though in interviews in the past they would be using D2 as a guinea pig to test possible ideas/features which will be in D3 so I guess we will have to see.
I am non ladder useast if anyone wants to play pm me.
I've been playing the patch single player (65 sorc, hell act 1), I'll probably start another character on USEast ladder after the reset.
I'm on US West
Ended up getting nigma though and most other gear I needed for my FC druid. Just managed to beat Uber tristram yesterday with it + a hammerdin and necro (which was not easy).
Patch is out on the live servers now.

Best change? Respeccing!
- Removed Oblivion Knight's Iron Maiden curse.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
So I can now whirlwind into iron maidens without instantly getting one shoted?
It's only been like 7 years since I last played D2 but this means no more random one shots cause I didn't see a mob with iron maiden up while 1,000 other mobs are trying to fucking shove demon sacks in my face
I'll be making nothing but hardcore charas now, since that was the only thing, outside of gloam spam in NM act 4 that could ever kill me.
It's almost too easy now. Just glad they fixed the leap/leap attack bug.
Excuse the necro, but anyone else getting lag hiccups? Kind of happens randomly and it doesn't matter how many enemies were on screen. But it does seem to happen a lot more often on my Frenzy Barb and Daggermancer than anything else.
All you convinced me to play this again since wow/ffxi is boring lol![]()
I'm thinking about starting up another Zealadin as that was always my favorite spec from like, .06 on and the only spec I liked that survived the 1.10 synergy changes.
I'm wondering how hard it would be for me to realistically build a zealadin though, I obviously don't have any of my old items/mule accounts so I don't really have the gear like I used to.
As I remember Diablo II from days of yesteryear, it was always really hard to make a good physical character (usually) without some pretty top tier weapons, and just gear in general. Is this still true? I remember getting to like NM on a few of my Barbs/Paladins/Bowzons and just not being able to do jack shit for damage.
Of course once you get to hell cows with an eth botd zerker and everything else under the sun you just tear ass, but since I'm not able to just *give* my character these things would it be worth starting from scratch?
edit: also, since I'm dicking around on my old single player characters, what's the best place to do some mfing nowadays? It always used to be hell/nm meph (depending on your sorc build) but I don't really know where to go any more as meph seems to just be letting me down even with like 4-500 mf.
edit2: how do you people get good gear by the way? i honestly have no idea how i ever started from scratch way back when i was a kid and ended up with all of the best shit by the time i started playing ffxi, except i used to steal a lot of shit from people i suppose.
PvP or PvM Zealadin? PvP, you're looking at spending literally tens of thousands of fg (assuming you use D2JSP) to build a top-tier Zealadin.
PvM, much easier and cost friendly. Exile + BoTD and as much DR as possible and you'll be fine. If I remember correctly, DR is capped at 50% for PvP, and I believe it's uncapped for PvM.
You gear up by making this sorc: http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=557123
There are other ways to go, but this is the easiest/fastest if you don't have forum gold or someone to give you items.
