I just checked and it was 70 per term but ummmm my buses are better than your buses
I just checked and it was 70 per term but ummmm my buses are better than your buses
last time i went to orlando they had televisions on the bus with commercials on them. does your mass transit system have tv's?
we have KAT buses in knoxvile >_> can your public transportation meow? yeah i thought so
LYNX NIGGA FUCK YO CATS
I will abort you
I'll cling on to that hanger
for dear life
I laughed so god damn hard at that bus pass, fucking prairies.
We get bus passes w/ student IDs here for all the local colleges/universities and they're mostly holographic IDs of the month/your pass with a watermark in the back, pretty basic, but holy fuck that thing is hideous.
Also, how much are buses in most your local places? it costs $2.50 per ride here + 90 minute transfer to ride as many you need in that time, or $8.25 for 5 adult tickets, $7.50 for student tickets(you can cheat and use these even into your 20s tbh because Student is Grd.8 through O.A.C.(which was the old Grd.13 in Ontario pre-college), so you can just say you're an O.A.C. even when you're in college.
In gainesville, they have an all-day pass for 2 bucks which would have been the equivalent of the monthly pass in miami at the time (last year.) i don't know if the price has gone up
in miami, fare is 2.00 base + .50 (transfer) and monthly pass is 75 for adults, but college students get a discount at their respective campuses. If you know who to talk to, you can get them for free. A friend of mine used to get the below 18 passes from someone she knew in elementary school
NYC doesn't have that, which is bullshit imo... Milan had it though -- you just went to the station and showed your ID and paid a fee, and they took your picture/made you a card. I always found it kinda funny that a bullshit place like Milan had a better system than NYC. I think it's going to go up to $102 for a 30-day pass here. Ugh.
id have a fucking heart attack if i had to pay that goddamn much for a monthly ever
and i agree its funny that you would think NYC has one of the most superior mass transit systems in the country. I know that if you're in k-12 you can get a free monthly pass I believe in some schools. my cousin had one
$81 now, $102 is quite a hike, yeah. The funny part is that while they hike the fare, they're also cutting down the service. Lots of bus routes and a few train lines will just disappear. MTA kinda sucks.
wish the water table for miami were way deeper for a better train system -.-
Yeah K-12 get a pass, but fuck that -- NYC has like a bajillion fucking colleges and universities, they can't fucking cut all students a break? MTA is pretty fucking greedy for being nearly bankrupt, I often wonder where all our money goes.
Monthly passes here are $62 or so but its a smaller city of course, 500,000 people and about 30ish routes only.
Those of us who would rather spend 30 minutes to get somewhere than 2 hours dont take the bus and dont have to worry about leaving our bus passes at home.
driving your own car is fine for most places, but some cities public transit is just a better bet for some commutes.
