    Bandwidth double reporting

Has anyone had this problem before? Basically, any network monitoring tool I use shows that my NIC is doubling all traffic that goes through it. I've used 4 or 5 different tools and they all show basically double of what is actually happening. It only happens for upstream transfers as well. Downstream traffic shows normal. I've tested this with programs other than torrent programs, I'm just using uTorrent as an example.

Are you using some form of NIC teaming? If you are those almost always report double bandwidth sizes even though the data stream is not really that much higher. They definately help for redundancy and performing more tasks at once without losing as much of your stream~ but since those values don't really increase at a linear rate, the report value in certain programs can be shown higher than the actual value.

If you're not using a NIC team than my guess would be a driver issue where the program is receiving data in such a way that its confused and processing it in a similar way as a team.

Edit: The picture will probably go down soonish because I'm planning on taking my server down and replacing its guts for refurb.

I'm not doing any sort of Teaming. I'll see if ASUS has new NIC drivers when I get home from work. Normally I do this stuff while I'm at work, but I can't really remote control a computer that's having it's NIC drivers reinstalled haha. I'll let you know if it works! Thanks.

I reinstalled drivers, deleted drivers, restarted, disabled IPv6, QoS, etc. etc. etc. All upstream bandwidth is still being reported as doubled by every reporting technique I can find.

Do you have the ability to check your traffic at the router side (like with a DD-WRT enabled router)? Non-suspected PC checking is your best bet

Also, see if you can't find a quick linux distro or something and verify that it isn't reporting the same thing.

My bet- Windows went crazy and is misreporting

A worry- That the NIC is actually doubling outbound traffic for some godawful reason.

What's your max upload (check with Speedtest)- and will Windows reportx2 that? Most connections cap out at a certain Mbps, so if you magically are x2 that, it's all Windows being stupid.

My router has a HUD that displays upstream/downstream traffic by port/ip/etc. The router is displaying the traffic properly. It's just Windows that is doubling it
