Although there were a lot more shocking moments in Xenogears, I think this one stood out the most. It was pretty crazy to watch.

Discovering Shodan, I didn't play it back when it released because my computer was too gimped but I did play it a few years later. I wish I could replay today but I can't figure out how to get this to run on XP..

I wasn't too surprised that Adachi was the killer but I was surprised with the scenes that went down with the actual murders he did commit, it was pretty awesome haha.

Persona 2 Innocent Sin

Saving the best for last because this ending is on an End of Evangelion scale, fucked up. Lance of Longinus included.

Aw this person doesn't have the other part of the ending. I can't believe how many people played P3/4 and didn't play this one, it truly is the best of the series.

Um... Unless I'm missing something this wasn't really shocking because they came out and told u in the first like 10% of the game that it was a dream in the guy's head.

I would consider this shocking if we were lead to believe the arabian setting was real through like 75-90% of the game and then it was revealed that it was a dream. Since they introduced it so early I don't really consider it shocking.

Watching your teammates die in front of you as your last remaining mate slides his pistol to you for one last chance to finish your mission

I thought the most shocking part was

when the nuke goes off and everything gets fucked up, then your character's helicopter goes down and crashes. Then he crawls out of the wreckage and slowly dies while everything is slowly burning up.

Fuckin' epic.

Also, gonna have to second the ending to MGS3. It's possibly the most beautiful ending ever and the salute at the end is the most tear jerking moment in a videogame (for me at least).

I actually got that working a few years back as I couldn't play it at first either. There are fan sites out there you can google for that have patches and procedures to make it run under XP. I think when I did it I still couldn't get some of the movies to play, but damn, that moment you spoiler'd was a good WTF moment for me too. Come to think of it, I never finished that game...and I still wish Bioshock incorporated a leveling system that was as complex as SS2...

Finding out that Atlas was using mind control on you, using you as a pawn to take out Andrew Ryan, in hopes of claiming Rapture for his own.

I knew something was going on in this game and I was glad it wasn't ruined for me because when I finally figured out what was going on I was blown away!

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, the nuke scene in CoD4 was so masterfully done it was insane. But the whole gravity of the situation really sinks in at the very end when you're watching your teammates get shot point blank and you have about two seconds to make the shot, intense and honestly I thought the game was over with the baddies winning.

That was insanely intense. I was watching them get gunned down like "Wait... WTF! NO! God damnit, they won't be in the sequel..."

It doesn't matter if it was shocking. I could shamelessly praise that game all day long. Everyone should play it... Everyone. The definition of epic had to be rewritten because of that fight.

MGS is the Lost of video games. You know there will be many twist but can never truly predict them. Act 4 has to be my favorite "Chapter" of any game. I'm man enough to admit that my eyes got misty when "The Best Is Yet To Come" started and all the echoing voice flashbacks.

I think hte most shocking video game moment was the moment some faggot came up with the story line to ffx and the douches at square enix decided it was a good idea. when i started FFX and saw that it was a chic posh faggot video game, I immidiatly went and tried to shoot myself with my m-16 because the new ff game was all i was looking forward to. I eventually played it and beat it but fuck was that story line gay as fuck.
