democracy is not the "majority" rule a lot of people seem to think it is. Majority likes to do fucked up things to minorities (sup gay marriage). Just because it's the majority does not make it right - it's why you have a constitution and things.

Knives are already banned in the sense im sure your describing, buts its a purely metropolitan aspect, iirc you can carry a small pen knife around the street.

Knife crime is at a all time high in the UK, especially in london, anyone who is carrying a knife outside there house (shit maybe even kitchen) should be held and questioned of there intentions, there genuinely isnt any need (outisde of stabbing a 15 year old or w/e) to carry a knife around any UK city/town.

European countries have always had way more stringent restrictions on free speech compared to America. Groups like the KKK can't legally exist in many if not most European countries.

Large portion of that list are peeps with criminal convictions or have what are considered criminal connections (such as KKK or other extremist groups) under UK law. The general understanding of freedom of speech in the UK means that while you can say what you want it doesn't give you the right to incite hatred on any race/religion/etc. and that appears to be the basis of this list also. US also denies entry to known convicts, there's been headlines over here about how Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen can't on occasion get a working visa to the US and cancel gigs because of getting arrested in the past. Likewise Snoop Dogg couldn't get into UK last year and I doubt they are alone but high profile celebrity cases are easy to read about in the media. Note that none of the people in the list are banned (which would imply they were somehow forcibly removed from the country), they are barred entry because if they did arrive into the country they would be likely to break laws. Bit harsh and assumptive perhaps but wouldn't compare it to China.

Europe is known for having less emphasis on freedom of speech, however, i do not know what America's excuse is right now:
