Well after waiting about an hour and a half I finally got my chicken -- even though the sides were someone else's order. Total clusterfuck up there and the Popeye's story was definitely running through my head the whole time.

My verdict: overall meh. It isn't horrible, but nothing to write home about. Now granted, mine may have been seasoned like total shit since they were trying to cook them so fast, so I donno. I might order this on occasion, but I can't see myself going "damn I want some KFC grilled chicken."

"We are out of grilled chicken and regular chicken. We do have sides still available. Coupons for grilled chicken not being accepted for rest of today and tomorrow."

It seems that they will just try to run you through their system and give you a default of mashed potatoes and slaw unless you stop them. Since they have to go through tons of orders, they are just trying to run through them fast.

As far as places running out of chicken...yeah I have heard of that in this area as well. In fact, while waiting in line, one lady said she came from another location 5 miles away that turned everyone away because they ran out.

Went to KFC today for the hell of it, didn't even know about the coupon. Anyways, due to shipping errors, all the KFCs in Anchorage, Alaska are not going to value the coupons until after May 11th.
